    Step 1 Lead-in(3 minutes)
    Enjy a vide
    Teacher asks students t enjy a vide abut a sng and asks the fllwing questins:
    (1)What is the sng abut?
    (2)Hw d yu usually make friends?
    Design intentin:
    Intrduce the tpic f this unit (friendship) with the sng t stimulate students' interest in learning and frm a natural transitin.
    Step 2 Pre-reading (2 minutes)
    Review sme key wrds
    Teacher asks students t match the key wrds with their Chinese meaning by a game and try t remember the Chinese meaning.
    Design intentin:
    Get the students familiar with the key wrds in an interesting way and make preparatin fr reading.
    Step 3 While-reading
    Read frm the title(2 minutes)
    Students are required t read the title and try t get mre infrmatin frm the title t predict what the passage is ging t talk abut. Teacher asks the fllwing questins:

    What’s the meaning f “Click fr a Friend?”
    A. Make friends face t face

    C. Pen friends
    (3) Pay attentin t the punctuatin mark.

    Fast Reading(5 minutes)
    Students have three minutes t read the passage quickly and try t grasp the main idea f the passage.

    Part3 (4-7) C. Ways t make friends in the past.
    Part4 (8) D. Advantages f clicking fr a friend.

    Guide the students t grasp the general idea f the article thrugh the fast reading skills.
    Careful reading(15minutes)
    Teacher divides students int grups f fur. Students read the passage again and wrk in grups t find ut the answers t the fllwing questins in 8 minutes. Then students shw their answers t the whle class.
