    Step 1:Warm-up & Revisin & Lead-in①
    1. Greetings.
    2. Enjy a vide abut dinsaurs in different sizes. (课件出示:不同体型恐龙的视频)
    T:D yu knw what they are in the vide?
    Ss:恐龙/Dinsaurs!
    T:Yes,yu’re right. They are dinsaurs. What d yu think f them? Are they big r small?
    Ss:They are big. / They are small./ …
    T:Yeah! Sme dinsaurs are big. Sme dinsaurs are small.

    视频可以激发学生的学习兴趣,引出恐龙这个话题。在对话中复习已学过的形容词。以孩子们去博物馆、谈论恐龙的场景导入教学,自然亲切地创设真实、有效的教学情景。
    3. Lead-in.
    T:We talked smething abut dinsaurs. Nwadays, we can nly see dinsaurs in the vides r in the museums. Lk! The children are in the museum nw. Let’s bserve the picture and guess what they are talking abut. (课件出示:Unit 1主情景图)

    (1) Shw the questins f “Let’s try” n the PPT. (出示课件) Let students predict and guess the answers.
    (2) The teacher plays the recrding f “Let’s try”. (出示课件) Students try t chse the right answers.
    (3) Students read the dialgue and check the answers with the teacher. (出示课件)
    (4) Shw tw dinsaurs n the PPT.
    T:Can yu guess which ne is the secnd dinsaur? And why?

    教师通过问题引导学生在听录音之前先预测听力内容,培养学生的逻辑推理能力,并通过两只恐龙的对比,帮助学生进一步理解taller的含义,初步了解使用形容词比较级进行对比的句型。

    Shw a picture abut three dinsaurs in different sizes n the PPT. (出示课件)
    T:There are mre dinsaurs in this picture. The first dinsaur is tall. Hw abut the secnd ne and the last ne?
    Ss:The secnd ne is taller. The last ne is the tallest dinsaur.
    Use bdy language t teach the wrds “tall, taller, tallest”.

    3. Learn the new wrds and sentences.
    (1) Shw a picture f the hall n the PPT. (出示课件)

    Ss: A museum.
    T: It is a hall in the museum. And it is the hall f dinsaurs.
    Lead students t read the wrd “hall” three times.
    Shw the pictures f “Let’s talk”. (出示课件)
    T:In the hall f the museum,Zhang Peng and Mike see the tallest dinsaur. Can yu guess “Hw tall is it?”
    Let students watch the vide f the first part f “Let’s talk” and try t fill in the blanks.(出示课件)
    Check the answers and teach the sentences “Hw tall is it? Maybe it is 4 metres. It’s taller than…”
    Lead students t pay attentin t the ruler in the picture.
    T: D yu knw what the letter “m” means n the ruler?
    Ss: It means “米”.
    T: Clever! Yu must be gd at maths. Can yu tell me which wrd is the same meaning as “m”?
    Ss: Metre. /…
    T: Super!
    Lead students t read the wrd “metre” three times.
    Shw a picture n the PPT t help students understand the wrd “bth”.
    T: Lk at the picture. Bth means A and B.
    Lead students t read the wrd “bth” three times.
    (2)T:They see mre dinsaurs in the hall. What are they talking abut?
    Let students watch the vide f the secnd part f “Let’s talk” and try t answer the questins in the bk.
    Check the answers and teach the sentences “Hw tall is Zhang Peng? He’s 1.65 metres. Zhang Peng is taller than the small dinsaur.”
    Let students pay attentin t the wrd “than”. Ask students t circle this wrd in their bks.
    T: When shuld we use this wrd? And where shuld we put it?
    Ss: …We put it after the wrd “taller”.
    T: Yes. When we cmpare tw persns r things, we shuld put it after the cmparative frms f adjectives.
    Lead students t read the wrd “than” three times.
    4. Read and act.④
    (1) Students read after the recrding and pay attentin t the prnunciatin and the intnatin.
    (2) Let students practice the dialgue in grups.
    (3) Act ut.

    教师播放录音,学生听录音跟读。引导学生按照正确的语音、语调及意群朗读对话,并在小组中进行角色表演。

    1. Let’s d and write.
    Let students measure hw tall they are by using a tapeline. Finish the exercises belw the dialgue accrding t their measurement results and their true ages.
    2. Practice the wrds and the sentences.
    Use the wrd cards t practice the wrds and the sentences.

    进行测量身高的活动,锻炼学生的动手能力,并为后面的拓展活动做好准备。利用单词卡片,帮助学生操练核心单词和句型。
    Step 4:Cnslidatin & Extensin⑥
    “Height and Age”
    1. Ask and answer in pairs.
    Make a mdel:
    T:Hw tall are yu? / Hw ld are yu?
    S:I’m 1.45 metres. / I’m 12 years ld.
    T:Wh is taller than yu? / Wh is lder than yu?
    S:XXX is taller than me. / XXX is lder than me.
    Students make their wn dialgues like the mdel.
    2. Shw time.
    The teacher gives stickers f dinsaurs t students if they d a gd jb.
    3. Play a chain game.
    One student stands up and asks, “Wh is taller than me?” If smene thinks himself/herself taller, he/she can stand up and answer,“I’m taller than yu.” The secnd student cntinues t ask the questin if he/she is really taller than the first ne. Otherwise,he/she shuld sit dwn. The student wh is taller keeps asking the same questin. Find the tallest student in class in this way.
    At last,all students try t say, “XXX,yu’re the tallest ne in ur class.”
    4. Intrduce different kinds f dinsaurs.
    Shw mre pictures abut different kinds f dinsaurs n the PPT. Intrduce mre infrmatin abut dinsaurs. (课件出示:更多不同种类的恐龙图片)
