Hwever, accrding t Kilner, we have a very pr understanding f ur wn faces since we have little experience f lking at them—we just feel them mst f the time.
This has been prved in sme studies in which peple were shwn phts f themselves and asked t match their facial expressins in the pictures. In mst cases, they failed t crrectly prduce the same facial expressins withut being able t see themselves in the mirrr, accrding t BBC.
T further test hw we actually sense ur wn faces, Kilner carried ut anther study. He shwed peple tw kinds f their wn pictures—ne had been edited(编辑) t lk less beautiful and the ne was made mre beautiful—and asked them t pick the versin which they thught lked mst like them. Kilner fund that mst peple chse the mre beautiful picture. This suggests that we usually think f urselves as better-lking than we actually are.

C.makes peple pssible t reach their expectatin
D.ffers peple a way t cntrl the wrld

They lve children and always want t play. As a result, children will be less likely t experience lneliness. They will als help t keep children active as they will need t be walked and played with every day.

Children will learn different skills that they can use later in life. Fr example, washing and feeding pets are basic skills t learn. Learning these respnsibilities will make sure that children will be able t lk after themselves, and pssibly their children ne day.
On the ther hand, sme pets can be dangerus. Sme dgs, fr example, are likely t bite, and children may becme scared f animals as a result f this happening t them. Sprts and hmewrk are nt get-ut-f-husewrk-free cards. The gal, after all, is t raise the adults wh can balance (平衡) a caring rle in their families and cmmunities with whatever lifetime achievement gals they chse. Husewrk teaches that balance.
What shuld yu d when getting children t d husewrk? Accept n excuses. Dn’t wrry if yu must repeat yurself again and again. If yu’re spending mre time getting the child t d this jb than it wuld take t d it yurself, then yu’re ding it right, Can a payment help? Maybe. The best way fr a teenager t grw up is thrugh experience.
Teenagers’ lack f freedm can als stp them frm having gd friendship at schl. Sme might say that this is a gd thing, because it helps them fcus mre n their schlwrk. 【导语】这是一篇议论文,文章讲述我们的大脑在不断地思考这一现象,一些科学家对这一现象提出了一些看法。
55.推理判断题。根据第一段“D yu ever feel like yur thughts are ging arund in circles? One minute, yu’re thinking abut yur hmewrk. The next minute , yu’re thinking abut yur plans fr the weekend”可知,作者通过让读者想起一种情景来介绍话题。故选B。
56.推理判断题。根据第三段“The brain never actually stps ‘thinking’ in a brader sense. Mst thughts are actually in the backgrund withut us nticing them and there’s nt really a way t turn these things ff”(我们的大脑从没停止思考,大多数思想事实上在背后而我们没有注意到,真的没有一种方法来关闭它们)可知,迈克尔认为人类有时候没有意识到他们的大脑一直在工作。故选D。
57.推理判断题。根据第四段“Yur cmputer, much like yur brain, is cnstantly ‘thinking’, even if yu’re nt actively using it.”可知,第四段是为了向我们解释人类的大脑一直在思考,故选A。
58.细节理解题。根据最后一段“Meditatin (冥想) can help us clean up sme f this thught-chatter”可知,冥想可以帮助我们清理一些思想上的障碍。故选A。
What yu need t knw:❊A chatbt is a cmputer prgram that yu can “talk” t. It respnds like a persn.
❊When asked a questin, a chatbt searches fr infrmatin and prvides an answer.
❊Chatbts can talk abut an endless number f tpics. They can write articles abut histry, write lyrics (歌词) in the style f rck stars, r explain hw t slve math prblems.
    Yes—chatbts are unreliable
    N—technlgy is the future
Getting help with schlwrk is great, but chatbts dn’t always use the mst reliable surces. Students might hand in classwrk with false r incmplete infrmatin. Besides, they wuldn’t really be learning the material r using their critical thinking (批判性思维) skills t d their wrk. What’s wrse, if students rely t heavily n chatbts, it culd be seen as cheating. In additin, it is difficult fr teachers t check hmewrk fr signs that students used chatbts. Lastly, thugh chatbts can help teachers grade tests quickly, but they may make mistakes and nbdy likes their schlwrk graded by a machine.
Chatbts are here t stay. Technlgy is changing educatin, and banning it wn’t stp that at all. Why nt teach kids t use chatbts respnsibly, like they use calculatrs r nline dictinaries? Chatbts culd serve as a starting pint fr learning by guiding research, teaching vcabulary, and helping students find ut the next step f a math prblem. And they culd lead students t discuss and help them imprve public speaking skills. Als, chatbts can give teachers a hand by creating tests, designing hmewrk, and making lessn plans r writing persnal tasks fr students learning at different levels. Everybdy wins.
Yes. There’s a lt t learn frm cmics. Cmic bks are a special frm f strytelling, and have had a huge influence n sciety. Cmics have changed a lt ver the years, which makes them attractive histrical dcuments. By reading cmics frm the past, peple can find ut mre abut what life was like in that time perid. Lking at cmics frm arund the wrld is als a great way t learn abut different cultures. Cmics are nt just silly cartns, but imprtant wrks f art fr peple t learn frm.
    N. They’re fr fun, nt fr studying. Althugh cmic bks are very ppular, that desn’t mean they shuld be studied. Cmics are a way fr peple t get free frm the real wrld. By studying them, yu turn them int wrk, which culd take the fun ut f them. There are lts f classic bks, plays and pems t learn abut. Why d yu study cmic bks when yu already have s much t get thrugh? Cmic bks shuld be smething yu read fr enjyment, nt smething yu study.
Q: China is such a big cuntry. Are the nrth and suth very different?
    Fina, 12, US
A: I think the language is really different. Each place in China has its wn lcal language. But visitrs frm the nrth can hardly understand it! Luckily, China has dne a gd jb in teaching peple Mandarin (普通话), especially lder peple. My grandma didn’t speak Mandarin befre, but she started t learn later. Nw she is 64 and can speak Mandarin well!
It’s amazing that 1.4 billin peple can speak ne language!
    Wu Yu, 13, Fujian
I think the fd is quite different. I grew up in Tianjin, a nrthern city. In 2012, I traveled t Hunan. The rice was nt as sweet and delicius as in the nrth. Last year. I visited Hunan again. The rice was n different frm that in my hmetwn, because peple in Human can buy rice frm the nrtheast n the Internet. I’ve experienced this, t! In Tianjin, we can easily buy fresh fruits frm Hainan fr a gd price!
    Li Ta, 13, Tianjin
Sights in nrth and suth is different. I live in Hangzhu, a warm and wet suthern city. It has beautiful lake sights. But in nrth, the weather is usually drier.
In Hangzhu, I ften see yung peple wearing hanfu while walking alng the West Lake. But when I traveled t Xi’an, I saw peple wearing herself, t! It seems that peple frm bth the nrth and suth lve this clthing!
