    Sabera Hssain’s passin fr helping thers is endless.
    Hssain, a senir at East Meadw High Schl in New Yrk, has taken part in humanitarian (慈善的) tasks bth at hme and abrad, frm fighting pverty as president f her schl’s Wrld Hunger Actin Club t teaching English t children in Bangladesh.
    While in the Suth Asian cuntry last summer, she spent six weeks vlunteering at a schl she called “a shack n the banks f a lake”. She prvided a grup f abut 30 students, aged 4 — 8, with hmemade educatinal materials, including cards and game bklets, t help them learn numbers and wrds.
    But Hssain’s humane effrts dn’t end there. She has als vlunteered at senir-living cmmunities and Nassau University Medical Center in New Yrk. She’s even wrked with her lcal Vlunteer Ambulance Crps, where she was trained t help give emergency treatment, alngside nursing and medical technicians.
    “I feel like everyne needs t g ut and see what the wrld has t ffer,” Hssain said. “That’s why I’ve dne s much; I wanted t explre what I like and dn’t like.”
    Yu wn’t be surprised t knw she’s als a star student. Hssain is an AP Schlar with Distinctin and earned a scre f 1,550 n the SAT.
