    指导思想与理论依据
    English teaching fr junir high schls shuld be available t all students. Teachers shuld guide and encurage students t imprve their language cmpetence thrugh practice, experience, cmmunicatin as well as cllabratin n the basis f the Natinal English Curriculum fr Junir High Schls (2011). Apart frm this, it’s essential t ensure the central stage f students during the teaching prcess, it is the teachers’ duty t direct students t cmprehend the curriculum by means f training in effectual listening techniques, s as t stimulate their interest in English. T prmte students' cmprehensive language skills, teachers shuld take sufficient teaching theries int practice t add entertainment and attendance in listening and speaking classes. This lessn is intended t take a sectin f Grade Nine f G fr it! as a trial methd with regard t the “Task-based language teaching” apprach, after which the cnclusin is drawn by the means f applying the apprach in terms f pre-listening, while-listening, and pst-listening.

    Thrugh this class, students are anticipated t acquire the fllwing strategies:
    (1) Master target wrds and phrases; make ut the central meaning f the materials.
    (2) Use listening skills fr btaining details, making predictins as well as drawing cnclusins.
    (3) Express themselves cnfidently and effectively in cnversatins.
    (4) Have a general view f table manners at hme and abard, and then behave prperly in different situatins.

    Stage 1 Pre-listening ( 12 min) 听前准备(12分钟)
    Task 1 Watch a shrt vide (table manners) with the intentin f leading in the tpic, after which students will have a general view f the tpic.
    (“T” represents teacher and “S” represents students)
    Lead-in:
    T: Yesterday we learned sme greeting manners. Nw let’s watch a shrt vide and yu can guess the tpic f this class.
    (after watching)
    T: What’s the vide abut?
    S1: Table manners.
    T: What kind f table manners can yu learn frm the vide?
    S2: First, it's rude t put yur elbws n the table. (The teacher displays the sentence simultaneusly)
    T: What des the underlined wrd “rude” mean?
    Ss: Implite. (The teacher displays the wrd “implite” simultaneusly)
    T: Yes, it's implite t put yur elbws n the table. What abut ther table manners?
    S3: It's implite t slurp yur drink.
    T: Very gd. The wrd “slurp” here means “drinking smething with a lud nise”. S, we shuld drink slwly and silently. What else?
    S2: Dn’t eat with yur fingers and dn’t eat with yur muth full.
    T: Gd jb. In the vide, they eat with frks and knives. We shuld behave prperly while eating.
    Task 2 Display pictures and encurage students t speak related table manners t give students a general view f table manners in Western cuntries t make a preparatin t cntrast table manners in different cuntries.
    T: Nw let’s lk at sme pictures and learn sme table manners in the USA.

    T: We knw that different cunties have different table manners. Nw yu have 2 minutes t identify whether the fllwing statements are true r false.

    The teacher explains sme cultural differences during the teaching prcess:

    Task 3 Free talk. Give students 1 minute t describe the three pictures in 1b and guide them t give ut the three key phrases s as t make the listening much easier.
