Geff Banks and Celesta Byrne met as part f an educatinal prject t put British and American students in cntact and they still keep in tuch with each ther.

The researchers synthesized(合成)micrmetre-sized magnetic beads(磁珠)which were then stimulated by a magnetic field. When the magnet was n, the beads stacked up t frm pillars. The strength f the magnetic field affects the shape f the pillars, which in turn affects hw well they cnduct electricity.
“With this system, we cupled the magnetic field stimulus(刺激)and the electrical respnse. Interestingly, we fund that the electrical cnductivity depended n whether we varied the magnetic field rapidly r slwly.
