were是are的一般过去时，一般疑问句是将were提到主语前。肯定回答为：Yes,+主语+were/was;否定回答为：N,+主语+weren’t/wasn’t. 例：Were they at hme yesterday？ 昨天他们在家吗？ Yes, they were./ N, they weren’t. 是的，他们在。/ 不，他们不在。
