Recently yung peple frm Japan, Brazil, China and England were asked questins abut what, why and hw ften they read. The study, dne by Lndn University, wanted t find ut if there were any imprtant differences in teenagers’ reading habits.
In the study, 200 teenagers frm each f the fur cuntries were asked t make a list f what they read in a week. They were asked t write dwn why they read the things n their lists. Finally, the teenagers said hw much time they spent reading each thing in a week.
Here is sme f what was fund ut. On average (平均) teenagers read fr 17. 5 hurs per week. Japanese teenagers read fr 18.5 hurs per week, a little mre than the teenagers frm China (18 hurs), Brazil (17 hurs) and England (16.5 hurs). Teenagers nly read fr tw different reasns: “fr study” and “fr fun”. In each cuntry, they nly spent 60% f their reading time “fr study” and 40% “fr fun”.
