本单元是第二课时reading部分,是一个单元的中心,起着承上启下的作用,integrated skills 和main task都是围绕reading展开的内容。该篇主要从时间,庆祝方式等方面对“万圣节”进行相关的介绍,作为Reading的第一课时,一是要求学生在情景教学和任务型教学指引下,掌握基本单词和词组,扫清阅读障碍;引导学生通读全文,通过提问找出文章关键词和要点,宏观把握整体文章结构;通过跳读,扫读和精读,培养学生的阅读能力,总结文章大意以及作者写作意图。二是通过对万圣节的相关介绍,了解不同国家节日的庆祝方式,培养跨文化意识的理解和深刻的爱国主义情怀,提升学生的世界观和价值观,成为一名热爱生活,享受生活和学习的人。所以这篇课文为学生提供了与单元中心任务和语法知识密切相关的阅读资料。

本单元的话题为Let’s celebrate ,着重介绍“节日的名称,时间以及庆祝方式”等,为了更清晰地介绍某个中外节日,教材在该单元的Welcme t the unit中向学生呈现了多个中外节目,从语言知识的角度看,难度并不很大,但由于学生们在英语学习过程中重视语言积累匮乏,在学习中存在一定的难度。在日常生活中学生对万圣节的了解不多,对该节日的认知大多停留在制作南瓜灯这个活动上,甚至对于大部分同学来说几乎是陌生的,而对于其他的活动,知道的学生可能寥寥无几。所以正因为这样,学生会对本节课的教学内容感到新鲜有趣,同时又有陌生感。因此教师应该在介绍万圣节庆祝方式时利用相关录像或者图片帮助学生增加形象记忆,从而更好地掌握该节课内容,加深学生对相关知识的理解。

1.Race t guess the festival accrding t the pictures.
2. Watch the vide
T aruse the students’ interest thrugh the guessing game and help students review what they learnt in last lessn. By the way, lead in the tpic abut Hallween.
