    Step 1 . Revisin
    Free talk: Ask Ss questins abut the date and use the calendar (with a festival in it) t lead in the main tpic -- festival.review the festivals in the last lessn.
    T: What’s the date tday? Lk at the numbers n the calendar, why are sme red? Because they are festivals. What festivals d yu knw?
    Step 2 . presentatin
    Shw Ss a vide r a picture f celebratin and ask them t guess what festival it is.with the help f the vide r the picture, try t teach the new wrds (pumpkin lantern, mask, treat, inside)
    Step 3 . skimming
    Read the letter and answer the questins:
    Wh is the writer and wh is the receiver?
    When des Wendy write the letter?
    Teach the crrect frm f a letter.
    Step 4. scanning
    Read the text and find ut the answer t this questin” What d we d at Hallween?” give Ss several minutes t scan the text and discuss with their partners.
    Play a game with the peple inside.
    Dress up and wear mask.
    Make pumpkin lantern.
    Have a special party.
