The 2020 US presidential election(总统大选) has drawn attention frompeople around the world. To allow voters(选民) to vote in person, poll(投票站) workers have had to work at different polling centers. In past elections most poll workers were elderly people. But since COVID-19 poses a greater danger to older people,more young people joined in this time. I was one of them.
I first found the chance to become a poll worker online. I signed up(注册) on a website called Poll Hero. A few days later, I registered(登记) at the High School Student Election Worker Program. After that, I took a three-hour online training course.
