【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.师生对话,复习句型What did you do ...? What did you see...?
T: What did you do on Sunday?
S1: My parents and I visited an insect museum.
T: What did you see there?
S2: I saw a lot of interesting insects there.
2.让学生向全班介绍自己参观博物馆的情况。
S1: I visited a toy museum with my parents on Sunday. The toy museum was big. I saw a lot of super toy bicycles there. I bought a toy bicycle. I had a great time!
II. While-task procedures
1.出示Look and read的文字和插图,先让学生自己阅读,然后引导学生关注文章各个段落分别讲述了什么。
Para 1: About the museum.
Para 2: Kitty and Ben visited “The World of Robots”.
Para 3: They saw a robot at the piano.
Para 4: They saw a robot dancer.
Para 5: They had a great time there.
2.让学生阅读课文,试着理解其中的生词,根据内容完成概要。然后播放录音,学生跟读。

3.学生四人一组,复述课文。让学生根据完成的概要,组内分角色分段进行复述。
S1: On Saturday, Kitty and her brother Ben went to a science museum. They visited “The World of Robots”. They saw many kinds of robots there.
S2: They saw a robot at the piano. He could play songs.
S3: They saw a robot dancer. He could move his head and arms.
S4: They also saw many other interesting robots.
4.播放Learn the sounds的录音,示范发音,学生模仿练习,总结发音规律。
T: or, / ɔː/, short, horse.
Ss: or, / ɔː/, short, horse.
5.再次播放Learn the sounds的录音,学生跟读、抽读,练习发音。最后播放Listen and circle的录音,学生完成练习,核对答案。教师还可以出示含有字母o, a以及字母组合or, al, au, oor的单词,请学生根据读音规则尝试拼读。

III. Post-task activities
1.对子活动。学生两人一组,将Look and read的短文改编成与主人公Kitty或Ben的对话。
S1: What did you do last Saturday, Kitty?
S2: My brother and I went to a science museum. We visited “The World of Robots”.
S1: What did you see there?
S2: We saw many kinds of robots there. There was a robot at the piano. He could play songs. We saw a robot dancer. He could move his head and arms. We also saw many other interesting robots. We had a great time there.
S1: Wow! I want to visit the science museum too!
2.请学生看《练习册》Task的第一部分,根据自己想参观的博物馆填写相关资料,如博物馆的地点、参观路线和交通方式等。然后学生在小组内根据第二部分的问题进行回答,讨论他们想去哪家博物馆,在方框内填写相关信息。最后,学生完成第三部分的练习,写一写自己和同伴讨论并确定的参观计划。
