【教学目标】
1.通过Look and read的篇章阅读,帮助学生进一步理解一般过去时的意义和动词过去式的变化规则。
2.通过Think and write的写作活动,让学生进一步巩固和运用核心句型,介绍自己的暑假活动。
【教学重难点】
1.词汇:during, spend, everyone, countryside
2.句型:During the summer holiday, Peter and his family went back to the UK.
3.日常用语:Everyone had a good time.

【教学过程】
I . Pre-task preparations
1.小组比赛。把全班同学分成两大组,教师向第一组学生快速出示动词图片(第二组的学生不能看)并说出表示过去时间的短语,请该组一个学生用英语大声提问,再请第二组的一个学生在黑板上写出正确的动词词组。如果两个学生都对,每组各得一分;如果说错或写错,所在组不得分。最后,得分高的小组获胜。
T: (show the picture of a boy watching TV) last night
(Group 1): He watched TV last night.
(Group 2): (write watched TV on the blackboard)
2.根据上面出现的动词,请学生归纳动词过去式的变化规则。要求学生熟读动词的过去式,并能背诵。
II . While-task procedures
1.请两个学生表演Listen and say的对话。然后教师提问引出Look and read的学习内容,将有关内容填在表格内。
T: What did Alice do in August?
S1: Alice visited her uncle in Beijing in August.
T: How did she go there?
S2: She went there by plane.
T: What places did Alice visit?
S3: She went to the Great Wall, Tian’anmen Square and the Palace Museum.
T: Can you show us the photos?
S4: Yes. (point to the corresponding picture) This is the photo of the Great Wall... 然后,教师根据Alice游北京的图片和表格内容进行介绍。

2.播放Look and read的录音,学生听完录音后,教师提问,集体完成表格,培养学生在听录音时抓住地点、活动等关键信息的能力,如果学生没有听清或无法回答有关问题,不要直接告诉学生答案,再次播放录音,教师教学单词 London、Big Ben 和 the British Museum。

然后让学生完成反馈练习,填空完成Alice 和Peter写的明信片。
3.出示Look and read的挂图,播放录音,学生边听边看图片,学生逐句跟读。鼓励学生尽量模仿录音中人物的语音语调。
4.请每对同桌分别选择扮演Alice, Peter和Jill的角色,介绍人物的暑假活动。教师在教室内来巡视,如果学生有困难,及时给予帮助。
S1: (act as Alice) In August, I visited my uncle in Beijing. I went there by plane.
III . Post-task activities
1.对子活动。请同桌一起介绍各自暑假活动的照片,要求学生用一般过去时讲述暑假活动的地点和做的事情。
S1: I visited my aunt in Shanghai in August.
I went to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Yu Garden. I ate the famous food Xiaolongbao. It was delicious.
S2: During the summer holiday, I stayed with my grandmother in the countryside. I planted the vegetables and picked grapes. It was interesting.
2.请学生完成Think and write的练习,给朋友写一张明信片,描述自己度假的情况。教师可以视具体情况决定是否要给予提示或帮助。请几个学生上来展示并介绍。
