    Children wh d better than their peers at schl tend t g n t enjy better health as adults, research suggests. The study was based n a 30-year fllw-up f mre than 14, 000 children brn in Sweden in 1953. The Jurnal f Epidemilgy and Cmmunity Health study fund the least ppular children had a higher risk f heart disease. They were als mre at risk f diabetes, drugs, alchl and mental health prblems.
    The degree f ppularity, pwer and status enjyed by each child was assessed when the children reached sixth grade in 1966 by asking them wh they mst preferred t wrk with at schl.
