【教学目标】
1.知识目标:
(1)能听说读写单词和一些月份单词的缩写形式: yesterday, June, stop, start, stop, driver, Jun., Sept., Oct., Mar., Jan.
(2)理解掌握短语:Children's Day, sports meeting, April's Day.
(3)能听懂、会用所学句型询问日期,并能运用所学词汇灵活作答.
—What was the date yesterday?
—It was June 1. It was Children's Day.
2.情感目标:
(1)在情景创设中培养学生合作学习的能力.
(2)通过多种形式的游戏和活动,激发学生学习英语的兴趣.
【教学重点】
1.理解掌握一般过去时在具体语言环境中的应用.
2.对What was the date yesterday?这一句式的理解及掌握.
【教学难点】
1.对一般过去时时态的理解.
2.行为动词与动词be在过去时态的形式.
3.句型:
—What was the date yesterday?
—It was May 11th.
【教学过程】
Step 1 Warming up
1.日常问候之后,询问学生一年有多少个月,每个月有多少天,不同的月份是否都是一样的天数,通过这样的方式为本节课的学习做好铺垫.教授Let's chant部分的歌曲:
Thirty days have September, April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Excepting February alone,
Which has but twenty-eight days clear,
And twenty-nine in each leap year.
2.在学生明白了各个月份天数不尽相同之后,询问“今天是几号?”引出“昨天是几号?”并且围绕该话题,引出一般过去时态(含助动词be)的一般疑问句形式及其肯定回答,由浅入深,引导学生一步步进入新知识的学习.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Let's talk
(1)看Let's talk部分的教学内容.让学生们说出对话中出现了什么人物,他们在谈论什么,提到了哪些内容? 将有关生词和句型写到黑板上.
(2)简单讲解黑板上的生词和句型,教学生认读、跟读和记忆.
(3)通过多种形式让学生熟悉和掌握对话内容.比如:角色扮演朗读.
T: Eve, what was the date yesterday?
S1: Today is June 2nd. So yesterday was June 1st.
T: It was Children's Day, wasn't?
S1: Yes, it was.
T: Were you at school yesterday?
S1: Yes, I was.
T: What did you do?
S1: We had a sports meeting.
T: Did you have a good time?
S1: Yes, we did.
2.Let's learn
(1)看Let's learn的教学内容,浏览,了解大意和要求.
(2)两人一组,仿照课文提供的四副图片的内容进行对话练习,通过对话的方式掌握好本课句型.
—What's the date today?
—It's May June 1. It was Children's Day.
(3)让学生对下列节日进行问答练习:
Teachers' Day, Women's Day, National Day, New Year's Day.
Step 3 Practice
Ask and answer
(1)该部分让学生结对练习,用特殊疑问句来询问日期,具体句型(板书:特殊疑问句):
—What's the date today?
—It's May 12th.
—What was the date yesterday?
—It was May 11th.
(2)通过实践造句,让学生巩固并掌握本课的重点句式What was the date yesterday? It was +日期,巩固所学句型.学生汇报,并及时纠正所存在的问题.
1.Listen and say
(1)阅读Listen and say部分,理解大意,标出难以理解的地方.
(2)播放录音,小组合作练习对话,直至将句型练至熟悉程度.
2.Read
(1)阅读Read部分,标出难以理解的地方.
(2)老师引导学生根据重点词和词组理解课文大意,翻译成汉语,并引导学生理解课文中重点句子的构成.
Step 4 Homework
1.抄写本课新学的单词及词组.
2.学生课后完成课本上Listen and choose部分的听力练习,并要求其选择五副图片根据所学新句型造五组对话,要求使用过去时态.
