【教学目标】
1.通过Look and read的阅读活动,帮助学生了解电子邮件的格式,并结合Culture corner栏目,了解相关的文化知识。
2.帮助学生学习字母组合bl,fl和sl在单词中的发音。
3.通过学习任务,帮助学生巩固和综合运用本单元所学的知识和技能。

2.词汇:email, wear
3.句型:It's sunny and hot here.

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.播放有关天气的儿歌或歌曲,学生边听边跟唱。然后出示一周天气预报,让学生和同桌进行对子活动。
S1: How's the weather on Monday/Tuesday/...?
S2: It's sunny/rainy/windy/cloudy/snowy.
2.告诉学生,Amy写了封电子邮件给Jill,信中介绍了澳大利亚的圣诞节。请学生说说他们眼中的圣诞节是怎样的。
II. While-task procedures
1.让学生看图读Look and read的邮件,出示一些读前问题,让学生阅读并思考如何回答。
(1)In Australia, how's the weather in December? (It's sunny and hot.)
(2)Can Amy see snow at Christmas? (No, she can't.)
(3)What do Amy and her parents do at Christmas? (They go to the beach.)
(4)What does Father Christmas wear in Australia? (He wears shorts.)
2.出示Look and read的电子邮件,学生划出不懂的地方,教师加以解释。根据电子邮件的内容向学生提问,学生口头回答。
T: What season is it in Australia? How's the weather in Sydney?
S1: It's summer. It's sunny and hot.
T: Which month is it?
S2: It's December.
T: Where do Amy's family go on Christmas Day?
S3: They go to the beach.
T: What does Father Christmas wear in Australia?
S4: He wears shorts in Australia.
3.然后播放课文录音,让学生模仿朗读。
4.让学生看Culture corner的图片,介绍澳大利亚的圣诞节气候。展示一些澳大利亚圣诞节的照片,边展示,边向学生介绍。
T: In Australia, the summer months are December, January and February. Christmas is in summer in Australia. There's no snow at Christmas. The sun shines and shines, and it's very hot. People go to the beach at Christmas. Can you see Father Christmas? He's surfing in the sea.
让学生看Play a game的图片,对比澳大利亚与北京的同一季节的月份差异,思考原因并说一说。
5.用颜色和方框将电子邮件的格式清晰地呈现给学生,帮助学生理解from, to, subject的含义和所在栏内应填内容,帮助学生体会电子邮件正文的组成部分:

6.出示Learn the sounds的语音单词卡片bl (blue), fl (flower) 和sl (slowly),请学生跟读单词,感受字母组合bl, fl和sl在单词中的发音。

7.鼓励学生回顾学过的含有字母组合bl, fl和sl的单词,如:blow, black, fly, slow。最后播放Learn the sounds的儿歌录音。请学生模仿录音朗读儿歌。
III. Post-task activities
1.学生四人一组,代表Jill给Amy写一封回信。根据学生情况,教师可以给出邮件模板,让学生参考。可以先让学生口头完成。
