Boat Festival in Venice

Venice is the city of water. You can find many boats instead of cars there. In Venice, a boat festival takes place every first Sunday in September. The boat festival started because of a girl from Venice named Caterina. Caterina married a king in another country, but she loved Venice very much. After the King’s death, Caterina came back to Venice. People in Venice held a boat parade to welcome her, and then they held the parade every year afterwards. Now it is a boat festival.

Pizza Festival in Italy

Pizza is an Italian food. In 1889, a baker in Naples made the first pizza. Naples celebrates the Pizza Festival every year in September. It is a weeklong festival. Chefs from the world’s most famous pizza restaurants all come for the festival. They show off and compete.

Maslenitsa in Russia

Clown Festival in Mexico

The best time to visit Thailand is at the end of March or the beginning of April, because it is the time of the biggest festival in Thailand — the Water Festival.
