知识点01  连接词的含义及功能

【语法详解】当宾语从句是特殊疑问句时，疑问词就是宾语从句的引导词。连接代词who,whom，whose,which，

what和连接副词where, how, why, when可引导宾语从句，并在从句中做一定成分。

Do you know who will come this afternoon?（who在宾语从句中做主语）

She asked whose hair band that was.（whose在宾语从句中做定语)

I want to know when the plane will take off.（when在宾语从句中做状语）

Did you hear what she said?（what在宾语从句中做宾语）

Please explain why you were late for class again.（why在宾语从句中做状语)

【注意】 how与某些形容词或副词构成的词组也可以引导宾语从句，主要有how old, how many, how much, how long, how often, how far等。

He didn't tell me how long he would stay there.

知识点02  常跟连接代词或连接副词引导的宾语从句的动词

【语法详解】可跟连接代词或连接副词引导的宾语从句的（短语）动词有：say, tell, ask, answer, know, decide, show, remember, choose, find out等。

We haven't decided where we should go for the holiday.

Can you tell me when the sports meeting will begin？             

 I want to know whose book this is.

知识点03  语序的变化

【语法详解】在含有宾语从句的复合句中，无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句，宾语从句都必须使用陈述语序，即“主句十引导词十宾语从句（主语+谓语+其他）”。因此，当特殊疑问句做宾语从句时，一定要注意语序。

“When will we start?” I wonder. →I wonder when we will start.

When will the sports meeting begin? → Can you tell me when the sports meeting will begin？

当疑问代词what/who 在特殊疑问句中做主语时, 该特殊疑问句本身即是陈述语序，所以转变成宾语从句后无需再调整语序。

"Who watered the flower?” the teacher wonders. → The teacher wonders who watered the flower.

知识点04  宾语从句可转化成“疑问词十动词不定式”结构

【语法详解】如果从句的主语与主句的主语或主句的宾语一致，则由疑问词引导的宾语从句可以转化为“疑问词+动词不定式”结构。

I'm not sure when I can turn off the light. = I'm not sure when to turn off the light.

She doesn’t know where she can park her car. = She doesn’t know where to park her car.

知识点05  特殊的连接词if和whether

【语法详解】陈述句用that(可省略），特殊疑问句用疑问词，一般疑问句用if 或whether,表是否

1、宾语从句如果是陈述句，用that连接, 无意义，可省略，但是作为主语不能省略。

He said that he could help me. 他说他能够帮助我。（that可以省略）

He said (that) he could come on time. 他说他会准时来的。（that可以省略）

She says that is a useful book 她说那是一本有用的书（that连词同时作主语，不能省略）

2、宾语从句是一般疑问句，要用if 和whether连接，if常用于口语，whether常用语书面语，一般情况下可以互换

I wonder if/whether it will rain tomorrow我想知道明天是否会下雨

Let us know whether / if you can finish the work before Friday.　

请让我们知道你是否能在星期五以前把工作做完。

Your mother asked if/whether you could finish your work this week.

你妈妈问这个星期你能否完成工作。

注意：

以下情况一般只用whether不用if。

1) 后接带to的动词不定式，只能用whether。

She doesn’t know whether to go to the zoo.

她不知道是不是去动物园。

2)与or not连用时,只能用whether。

I’m not sure whether or not he will come on time.

他能否准时来，我说不准。

3) 所引导的从句作介词的宾语时，只能用whether。

Everything depends on whether you work hard

一切取决于你是否努力

4）当引导的宾语从句位于句首，表示强调时，只能用whether。

Whether he will succeed , I am not sure.

他是否能成功，我不确定

知识点06  时态

【语法详解】主现从随便，主过从必过，客观事实永一现

(1) 如果主句是一般现在时，宾语从句根据实际情况用各种时态。

My teacher says he will be back in a week. （一般将来时）

我的老师说他将在一个星期后回来。

My teacher says he is watching TV. （现在进行时）

我的老师说他正在看电视。

My teacher says he has seen the movie. （现在完成时）

我的老师说他已经看过这部电影了。

(2）如果主句是一般过去时，宾语从句用相应的过去时态。

My father said he was watching TV at that time.（过去进行时）

我爸爸说在那个时候他在看电视。

My father said the he had already seen the movie. （过去完成时）

我爸爸说他已经看过那部电影了。

注意：如果宾语从句是表示客观真理和规律的句子时，用一般现在时。

Our teacher told us the sun is much bigger than the earth. （一般现在时）

我们的老师告诉我们太阳比地球大多了。

考法01 宾语从句的否定前移

当宾语从句表示否定意义时，如果主句的主语是第一人称，谓语动词是think, believe, suppose, expect等词时，通常将否定转移到主句的谓语动词中。
如：I don't believe he will come.  
I don't think there is anything wrong with the radio.
【拓展】
1. 当宾语从句的否定词转移时，若主句的主语是第一人称，则该句的反意疑问句由从句来决定。
I don't think he is an honest boy, is he?
2. 当主句的主语不是第一人称时，则该句的反意疑问句由主句来决定。
You believe he will come here soon, don't you? 

【典例】 He can’t come to the party today. I think. (合并成一句)

I ________think he ________ come to the party today.

考法02 宾语从句的句型转换

含有宾语从句的复合句在一定的条件下可以转化为简单句。
1. 若主句的主语与从句的主语一致，则由疑问句引导的宾语从句可以变成“疑问词+动词不定式”的复合结构。
如：I don’t know how I should do it next.
= I don’t know how to do it next.
2. 当主句的谓语动词是see, hear, watch等时，其后的that从句常简化为“宾语+动词原形/动词-ing形式”。
如：I saw some boys were playing basketball on the playground just now.
= I saw some boys playing basketball on the playground just now.
3. 当主句的谓语动词是hope, agree, wish等，且主句的主语与从句的主语一致时，其后以that引导的宾语从句可简化为动词不定式结构。
如：He agreed that he could help me with my English.
= He agreed to help me with my English.
【典例】1．The girl wondered where she would meet her friends the next morning. (改为简单句)

The girl wondered ________________ ________________ meet her friends the next morning.

2．John asked,＂Can you look after my pet dog while I’m away?＂(改为复合句)

John asked ________________ I ________________ look after his pet dog while he was away.

3．He said, ＂Are you interested in English?＂ (合并为宾语从句)

4．The book is a story-book. That book has a red cover. (合并为一句)

5．＂Do you have any rooms to rent?＂ She asked me. (合并为宾语从句)

6．The earth goes round the sun. Our teacher told us. (合并为宾语从句)
