1. Chinatown的由来：

唐人街的由来

强盛的国力，先进的文明，恢宏的气度使唐朝在世界上享有盛誉。后是外国人把中国称为“唐人”。北宋《蒲州可谈》说：“蛮夷呼中国为唐。”《明史.真腊传》说：“唐人者，诸蕃呼华人之称，凡海外诸国皆然。”这种传统一直延续到现在，海外各国把华人聚居的地方称为“唐人街”。

Chinatown 在日常英语中，代表中国城的意思。唐人街是老式的广东人说法。在世界各地很多地方都有。美国各地都有，例如，纽约，费城，旧金山，洛杉矶，华盛顿等等。在美国首都华盛顿，有全美国中国城内最大的牌坊。
