【Keys】 (1)A red jacket,a cap and a birthday cake. (2)He is thirteen.
探究二: Reading 1.Read the passage and finish part1 in “Let’s Do it”
2.Read the text and answer the following questions:
(1)Who brought the presents to Li Ming?
(2)Why did Li Ming love the jacket?
(3)Who came to Li Ming’s birthday party?
(4)What did Li Ming’s mother buy for the party?
(5)What did Li Ming’s family do when it was time for dessert?
【Keys】 (1)The postman. (2)The jacket is in fashion and red is Li Ming’s favourite colour. (3)His friends,cousins,grandparents,uncles and aunts. (4)Some balloons and a delicious birthday cake. (5)Li Ming’s mother turned off the light,and his father carried the cake into the room.Li Ming blew out the candles.
探究三:Language Points
1.breath的用法:名词“(呼吸的)空气,吸气”。常用的短语有:(1)take a deep breath 深呼吸;深吸一口气(2)short of breath 呼吸困难(3)one of breath喘不上气
其动词形式为:breathe “呼吸”[练一练]: ①Taking a deep breath can help you calm down。深呼吸可以帮助你平靜下来。②Let’s go out to breathe the fresh air. 我们出去呼吸新鲜的空气吧。③We were out of breath after only five minutes.仅五分钟后我们便气喘吁吁了。
2.pick up 的用法: (1)取回(2)捡起,拿起(3)整理,收拾 (4)(开车)接人 (5)接电话 [练一练]:①I picked up my coat from the cleaner’s.我从干洗店取回了我的外套。 ②He picked up his hat and went away. 他拿起他的帽子就走了。③Let’s pick up the living room. 咱们收拾一下客厅吧。④I’ll pick you up at six tomorrow morning.我明天早上六点来接你。⑤I called you at 9 last night, but you didn’t pick up.我昨晚9点给你打电话,但是你没接。
3.turn off 意为“关掉(自来水、电灯、煤气等)”与turn on是反义词组。turn up调大(声音等),turn down 调小(声音等)。Don't forget to turn off the gas after you finish cooking.
你做完饭后别忘了关掉煤气。
