一、教学目标
1. 能掌握本单元的词汇:fall, follow, hole, ground, twice, once or twice, suddenly, pink, pocket, field, think about, deep, while, dry
2. 重点句型:

3. 本模块的Around the world使学生能够了解一些名著的背景知识。

重点:1. 阅读和表演《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》中的故事片段;
2. 运用过去进行时,根据自己的经历写一个小故事。
难点:运用过去进行时,根据自己的经历写一个小故事。

3. 教学图片。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
Do the exercises to review the Grammar.
【设计意图】通过做练习检查学生们对所学语法知识的掌握情况。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Guess what happens next to the passage in Unit 2.
Step 3 While-reading
Listen to the play and find out what will happen next.
Step 4 Post-reading
1. Read the play and act it out.
2. Learn the language points.
1. It wasn’t very polite of you to sit down.你坐下来是非常不礼貌的。
be polite (of sb. ) to do sth.(某人)礼貌地做某事
2. Mouse stops singing and falls asleep.老鼠停止了唱歌,然后睡着了。
(1) stop to do 停止做某事后去做另一件事。
stop doing 停止正在做的事
(2) fall asleep = be asleep 睡着,入眠
3. Once upon a time, there were three little sisters, and they lived … 从前,有三个小姐妹,她们住在……
once upon a time (= a long time ago / long long ago) 从前,很久以前
4. The March Hare knocks the milk over …三月兔把牛奶打翻了……
knock sth. over 打翻/撞翻……
5. Alice takes the place of the March Hare. 爱丽丝取代了三月兔的位置。
take the place of 代替,取代
take one’s place 代替某人
take place 意为“发生”,相当于occur或happen

Around the world
Read the article and discuss in groups.
Which is more entertaining, the old stories or the new stories? Why?

Module task: Writing a short story about your own experience
1. Explain the task to the Ss. Go through the list of prompts for making notes and the example notes together.
2. Ask Ss to make notes individually about their stories. The story can be a true story or an imagined one.
3. Have Ss tell their stories to each other in pairs according to their notes.
4. Write down the stories with their notes.
5. Share the stories in a whole class.

6. Let Ss do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned.
