教学目标 | Knowledge objectives ①Key vocabulary: research, baby, situation, scientist, produce, southwest, government, set, nature, develop, feed, symbol ②Key sentences: Zoos and research centers are looking after about 340 pandas. Scientists are doing a lot of research to help pandas produce more babies and help baby pandas live. In order to protect pandas in the wild, the government is setting up nature parks and developing other plans. Ability objectives ①Be able to know something about the endangered pandas. ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit. Emotional objectives ①Let students actively participate in communicative activities and speak English boldly. ②Let students know the importance of protecting animals and our environment. |

教学难点 | Students can use the information to talk about how to protect animals in danger. |

教学过程 | 1.Lead-in: ①Teacher asks students to watch the video. ②Ask students to talk about pandas. 2.Presentation Task 1 New words ①Show some pictures about the new words. ②Teacher organizes the students to read the new words together. ③Teacher picks a few students to read the words. Task 2 Reading ①Play the tape and ask students to scan the passage. ②Ask students to skim the passage and match the headings with the paragraphs. ③Ask students to skim the passage and complete the sentences. ④Guide the students to listen to the tape again. ⑤Ask students to complete the passage with the words in the box. ⑥Organize students to check the answers in the whole class. Task 3 Notes ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found. ②Teacher explains the language points. Task 4 Sentences ①Teacher shows the important sentences. ②Ask the students to read through the sentences. Task 5 Writing ①Ask students to choose an animal in danger and answer the questions. ②Let students write a passage about an animal in danger. 3.Practice Ask students to finish the practice.
