一、教学目标
1. 掌握本课重点词汇和短语:stand for, point, decision, excuse, noon, seat, fair, kick, mad, no way
2. 正确运用以下句型:
Daming wasn’t chosen for the team last time.
I don’t agree.
I do hope they win this time.
3. 理解一般过去时态的被动语态。
4. 能够识别句子中的轻、重读音,并能正确读出句子。
5. 能够听懂并能够进行有关体育运动和体育比赛的对话。
6. 熟练掌握文中出现的日常交际用语。
7. 通过学习,加深对我国体育运动状况和体育明星的了解,加深对奥运会的了解,学习运动员顽强拼搏、勇于挑战的运动精神。

重点:1. 掌握本单元词汇,能够听懂有关体育运动的对话。
2. 熟练掌握文中出现的日常交际用语。
难点:理解一般过去时态的被动语态。

Step 1 Warming-up
1. Look at some short forms and talk about them.
2. Match the short form with their expressions.
3. Look at the picture of NBA and talk about it.
4. Free talk.
Do you often take exercise?
Which sport do you like most?
Are you a member of the school sports team?
Do you often win?
设计意图:通过谈论缩写形式引入本课短语,过渡到本课运动主题,学生易于投入自己感兴趣的话题。
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. Work in pairs. Look at the picture and describe the picture.
设计意图:学生对图片中人物和运动进行描述,为听力训练做好准备。
2. Listen and complete the sentences.
设计意图:进行听力训练,培养学生辨别信息、捕捉重要信息的能力。
Step 3 While-listening
1. Listen and mark T or F.
2. Listen again and complete the table.
3. Listen for the third time and answer the questions.
Step 4 Post-listening
1. Read the conversation and complete the sentences.
2. Complete the passage with the words in the box.
设计意图:通过听力和阅读使学生抓住对话要点,理解对话内容,并对文中的重点词汇进行练习。
3. Learn the language points.
(1) You look tired. 你看起来很累。
look 连系动词+ adj. “看起来……”
常见连系动词:look / taste / sound / smell / feel / seem / become / get / turn 等。
(2) Who are you playing against? 你们和谁比赛?
against prep. “与……对抗”
be against反对 be for 赞成
(3) Didn’t they beat you last time? 上次你们被打败了吗?
辨析:beat与win
(4) He’s so mad at us that he’ll work harder to win, ...
so…that… 意思是“如此……以至于……”,句型中的so是副词,常用来修饰形容词或副词。
be mad at 对……很生气;很恼火
(5) Daming wasn’t chosen for the team last time.
一般过去时态的被动语态: was / were + 过去分词
一般现在时态的被动语态: am / is /are + 过去分词
设计意图:讲解语言点,使学生掌握本单元重点词汇的用法,并初步了解一般过去时态的被动语态。
4. Learn Everyday English
(1) Read the sentences together and get the meaning of them.
(2) Complete the sentences by using the Everyday English.
设计意图:日常交际用语的练习培养学生的口语运用能力和反应能力。
5. Ask some Ss to read the sentences loudly, other Ss giving an evaluation on the pronunciation and the tone.
6. Listen and decide which words are weak and which words are strong.
7. Listen again and repeat the sentences.
设计意图:语音练习使学生掌握朗读中单词的重读、语调和规律,培养抑扬顿挫的语感。
8. Work in pairs to talk about their favourite sports teams or sports stars. They can include the following aspects:
Who are they?
What sport do they do?
Why do you like them?
Ss can begin with:
— My favourite sports team is... They always try hard to...
— Yes. I agree with you. And I think...
设计意图:鼓励学生就自己喜欢的体育明星以及喜欢的原因进行讨论,激发学生学习兴趣,锻炼其口语及交流合作能力。
9. Do some exercises.
设计意图:通过练习巩固梳理本节课重点。
