The giant saw a mst wnderful sight. Birds were flying abut and singing，and flwers were peeking up thrugh the green grass. The trees were waving their arms sftly in the warm wind. Children were running abut and sitting in the branches f the trees. It was a lvely scene.
Then the giant saw that mre children were crawling thrugh a hle in the wall. The giant′s heart melted. “Hw selfish I have been！” he said. “Nw I knw why spring wuld nt cme here！”The giant made a decisin and went ut t his garden. “I will knck dwn the wall！” he said t himself.
When the children saw the giant，they were s scared that they all ran away，and the garden turned t winter again.
But ne little by did nt run because he did nt see the giant cming. He was trying t reach up t the spreading branches f a tree. The giant tk him gently in his hand，and put him up int the tree. At nce the tree brke ut in blssm. The birds came and sang in it. The little by stretched ut with his arms，put them arund the giant's neck and kissed him.
When the ther children saw the giant was n lnger wicked，they came running back. Alng with them came the spring. “It is yur garden nw， little children，” said the giant as he tk his great axe and kncked dwn the wall.
Ever since then，the giant′s garden has been a children′s playgrund.
