1) Greetings in everyday English.
2) Mainly revision of last lesson

Step1 Lead in
- The teacher will present some pictures about clocks in order to make Ss learn the simplest way to express time in English correctly. Then ask ss some questions:“Do you eat breakfast today? What do you usually eat for breakfast? ” After that, teacher will show a saying: eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar. ask ss to guess it, But don’t give them the answer until the lesson is ended.
StepⅡ Presentation
1. Listen to the audiotape again and let the students read after it and pay attention to the pronunciation.
2.Group discussion. Find out the knowledge containing the phrases patterns and what they don’t understand, then, the ss representative will give their result, at last, the teacher explain them.
3Role-play. For example:
A: What time is it now? B: It’s seven fifteen.
A: Time for breakfast! B: What’s for breakfast, Li Lin?
A: We have cereal, …….
4.Exercise. listening to the tape again and fill in the blanks on the screen and answer the questions in“Let’s do it”. Meanwhile, through giving the different meanings of the saying, the differences of eating culture between eastern and western countries will be presented.
English saying:“ Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar. ”
Chinese saying:“eat breakfast best, lunch fully, supper least.

Step2 Listen to the tape with the following questions.

What did Wu Li buy on the train?
What is a snack?
Answer the questions with the students and discuss the whole text to make sure they understand the meaning of the text. Deal with the language points at the same time. The teacher can use blackboard or the slid projector to help the teaching.
Step 3. Listen to the audiotape again and let the students read after it and pay attention to the pronunciation.
Step 4. Have them read the text for a few minutes and then ask them to act out the dialogue in roles.
Step 5. Practice: LET’S DO IT
In a small group, make a menu for the train. What foods can you buy on the train? How much do they cost? Write the menu on a piece of paper. Practice using the menu with your classmates.
Divide the class into pairs. Each pair makes up a dialogue about being thirsty and wanting something to drink. The students can use their flashcards to represent drinks.

StepⅠ Warm-up

- 教师运用ppt展示图片,教师问学生:“ Do you eat breakfast today? What do you usually eat for breakfast?”。学生进行回答后,教师展示谚语:“ Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar. ”同学们猜谚语的含义。教师先不解释答案。待本节最后揭示答案。
StepⅡ Presentation
教师罗列本节重点单词,学生听录音跟读单词。教师讲解单词发音,重点讲解
restaurant, cup 中发元音[ ɒ],[ ʌ]的字母,并举例。然后,学生尝试用新单词造句。最后,教师给出例句,并作简要讲解。
- 教师按课文内容提出问题,学生合上书,先听一遍录音尝试回答问题。然后,教师先不给出正确答案,学生带着问题学习课文。
- 学生听录音,大声朗读课文。熟悉课文内容后,学生尝试独立翻译课文。教师可以安排学生,以开火车的方式逐句翻译课文。
