Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
Guide Ss to look at some pictures and learn about Mars.

Step 2 Pre-listening
Guide Ss to learn new words.
Guide Ss to have a free talk: (1) Do you want to live on Mars in the future? (2) Why or why not?
【设计意图】听前引导学生学习新词汇,并思考与话题一致的相关问题,了解学生已知,同时,降低听力障碍。
3. Show listening tips to help Ss to improve their listening ability.
【设计意图】听前指导学生听力策略,有助于学生成功获取答案。
Step 3 While listening
Guide Ss to listen and take notes.
【设计意图】引导学生边听边做记录,培养学生获取细节信息的能力。
2. Guide Ss to listen to the TV programme and understand the main idea.
