Through the following four cultural relics, the world has known about Korea's cultural treasures.
Pulguksa Temple
Pulguksa Temple plays an important part in the history of Korean temples. The building of Pulguksa Temple began in 751. In the year 774 the large temple was finished, becoming an important center for Korean national－protection Buddhism(佛教). The way used to create the store structure gave the temple a look of beauty. The building thus represents the excellent Korean sculpting(雕刻).
Sokkuram Cave
Sokkuram Cave is a man－made cave, which has been sculpted from white stone in special sculpting ways. In the cave, a seated Buddha is the main statue. On the walls around him are found 38 other statues and the Four Heavenly Kings. This stone cave is one of Korea's greatest places, built when Shilla's religion, science and sculpture were at the height. It shows Shilla's knowledge of math, physics and art.
Haeinsa Temple
Haeinsa Temple's Changgyong Panjon is a worldclass cultural treasure. It has 81，340 wooden blocks. Millions of Chinese characters were caved on the blocks. In addition to its artistic value, it is famous as the oldest Buddhist canon(教义)in the world today. The building is beautiful. What's more important is that its design allows for natural wind as well as temperature control. Each book is 69.5cm in width and 23.9cm in height. There are 23 lines on each of the blocks and each line contains fourteen characters.
Changdokkung palace
Changdokkung palace, one of the five places of the Chosen Dynasty, was built in 1405. The oldest structure is Tonhwammun Gate. Other ancient buildings include Injongjon hall, Sonjongjon Hall and Taejojon Hall. The back garden for kings remains a great example of the ancient Korean scenery.

]The Eiffel Tower is very famous in France. It is visited by 7 million visitors a year. The Eiffel Tower was designed by Gustave Eiffel in the late 19th century. On Monday, March 31st, 2019, it turned 130.
The look of the Eiffel Tower is greatly loved by people today, but things were different when the design was first shown to the public(公众). Many French artists thought that the design was ugly. However, Eiffel did not change a thing. He believed that once it was completed, people in Paris and visitors around the world would love the tower. He was certainly right.
The tower became popular with the public as soon as it opened on March 31st, 1889, two years after the construction(建造) began. Over 3, 000 people came to look at this new tower and even made the effort to climb the 1, 710 stairs to the top. The 984foottall Chrysler Building in New York City beat it.
Today, the tower houses a number of restaurants on its first and second levels. The third level has been turned into a vast platform(平台). From there visitors can see the entire city of Paris. While visitors are allowed to take the stairs to the first two levels, the platform can only be got to by taking the elevators.

I had just arrived in this Asian country for a one-year teaching position(职位). One day, I took a subway to visit some ancient palaces and temples in the downtown. What happened to me next on the subway has taught me much about cultural difference.
Since all the seats(座位) were taken, I stood. Suddenly, I felt someone pulling on my bag. Thinking that I might be in someone’s way(挡到别人), I moved over a little. But in one quick motion(动作), I felt my bag removed from my back, and in a flash(一瞬间), it was gone. I turned around to see who the thief was. But as I began to pull it up, she quickly took it back and held onto it. I looked around at the people standing beside me, and those sitting beside her, but no one paid attention to the situation. Not knowing their language, I tried to communicate with her through gestures(手势). I used my hands as much as I could, but she ignored(不理会) my requests for my bag and pointed to(指向) my back. She picked up my bag, showing how heavy it was. I finally began to understand that she was holding my bag to help me.
At the next stop, a middle-aged woman got on the crowded subway and also had to stand. Another elderly woman sitting aside took her bag, putting it on her lap. They didn’t talk; but this elderly woman was delighted to sit with this stranger’s bag on her lap throughout her journey.
As the subway pulled into the station and I was getting ready to get off, the woman gently handed me back my bag. But before I had a chance to thank her, she had disappeared into the crowd.

I had just arrived in this Asian country for a one-year teaching position(职位). One day, I took a subway to visit some ancient palaces and temples in the downtown. What happened to me next on the subway has taught me much about cultural difference.

She picked up my bag, showing how heavy it was. I finally began to understand that she was holding my bag to help me.
At the next stop, a middle-aged woman got on the crowded subway and also had to stand. Another elderly woman sitting aside took her bag, putting it on her lap. They didn’t talk; but this elderly woman was delighted to sit with this stranger’s bag on her lap throughout her journey.
