在句子中用来连接词与词、短语与短语或句子与句子的词。连词在句子中不能单独作句子成分，只能起连接作用。
I am very busy but happy.

连接的单词、短语或者句子具有对等关系，也就是说并列连词前后的单词词性相同、短语结构相同或者句子形态相同
and(和), but(但是), r(或者), fr(因为), s(以), …bth…and…(······和···都······), either…r…(不是······就是······), nt nly…but als…(不仅···而且···)
例如：Let`s g and play ftball.Are yu ging t travel by train r air?Nt nly Lisa but als her parents like cking.
befre(···之前), after(···之后), when(当···时候), because(因为), if(如果), as sn as(···一···就···), thugh(尽管), althugh(尽管)
例如：She didn’t g t schl because she was ill.I fund her bag after she has left.He studied hard thugh he had a fever.
根据连词在句子中表示逻辑关系的不同，也可分为以下四类：1. 表示因果关系的：2. 表示平行并列、选择关系的:3. 表示时间关系的：4. 其他常用连词：表示条件关系的： 表示让步的：

and, r, either… r…, neither… nr…, bth… and…, nt nly… but als…
after, befre, when, as sn as
althugh、thugh
1. and连接多个对象时，仅在最后两个对象间用and连接，其他用逗号连接。

2. and通常用在肯定句中，r 通常用在否定句和疑问句中。
He likes milk and juice.He desn’t like mike r juice.(r在否定句中表示并列）What wuld yu like t drink, tea r cffee? (在疑问句中表示选择）
3. 在同一个句子中不能同时出现because和 s，与汉语不同。
Because she was ill, s she didn’t g t schl.
应该改为：she didn’t g t schl because she was ill.或者：She was ill, s she didn’t g t schl.
4. thugh/althugh 不能和but 连用
如：Althugh he is ver sixty, but he wrks as hard as thers.应改为：Althugh he is ver sixty, he wrks as hard as thers.或者：He is ver sixty, but he wrks as hard as thers.
5. bth …and…和nt nly…but als…意思相近可以通用。
例如：Bth Mary and Lisa speak English.Nt nly Mary but als Lisa speak English.
6. neither …nr…本身表示两者都否定，所以句子不在用否定。
例如：Neither she nr I like t eat apples. 她和我都不喜欢吃苹果。
7.either A r B (或者A 或者B)neither A nr B (既不A也不B)nt nly …but als…(不仅A而且B) 连接主语时，谓语动词就近原则
例如：Either she r I am ging t the party. 或者她或者我将去参加晚会。Neither she nr I am ging t the party.她和我都不去参加晚会。Nt nly yu but als he can speak French.
8. and 和 r 都可以在祈使句中使用
例如：Study hard, and yur English will be better.Pay attentin, r yu will miss the answer.
And +句子 通常表示好的结果 “那么就会···”Or +句子 通常表示不好的结果 “···否则就会···”
