设计说明 首先通过一个让学生根据图片迅速说出一些水果的英文单词的游戏来呈现本课时的生词,进而了解制作水果沙拉需准备的物品、工具以及制作过程,在听力环节给出一些听力技巧的指导。Speak up通过听力训练形式呈现,进而了解三明治的制作过程。通过一些图片呈现形容词及其反义词,进而学习否定前缀un-,in-,im-构成形容词的方法,并通过一些词汇的练习让学生学会使用含否定前缀un-,in-,im-的形容词来表达否定含义。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握词汇:grape, strawberry, spoon, salad, tidy, mix, add, example, leave, correct, finished, certain, active, possible, mix them together, add some salad cream, for example, tidy up 2.能力目标 (1)学生通过听录音获取信息,学会用英语交流DIY话题,提高听、说、读、写以及综合运用能力。 (2)学习否定前缀un-,in-,im-构成形容词的方法并学会使用含否定前缀un-,in-,im-的形容词表达否定含义。 3.情感目标 了解DIY的相关知识,培养学生的创造力和对生活的热爱。 重点难点 重点:用英语交流DIY话题 难点:与否定前缀un-,in-,im-相关的构词法 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show an instruction. You are going to see some pictures of fruit, but it’ll disappear (消失) quickly. Try to remember it. Then show all the words on the screen, such as bananas, pears, strawberries, lemons, apples, grapes, oranges, watermelons and so on. T: What can we use the fruit to do? S: We can make a fruit salad. Step 2 Presentation 1. New words. (1) Show students the things and tools we need when we make a fruit salad. We need bananas, pears, strawberries, lemons, apples, grapes, oranges, salad cream and so on. What tools do we need? We need a spoon, a bowl. At the same time, teach students some new words. (2) Part A1. Listen to the conversation and tick the things they need. Play the tape, let the students choose the answers while listening. Then play it again and check the answers. Answers: 2,3,4,5,6,7,9 2. Show them ways to make fruit salad. (1) Part A2. Let’s learn to make a fruit salad. Watch carefully and try to remember the steps. Then put the notes in the correct order. Then ask students to pay attention to the expressions of order like first, then, next, finally. Answers: 2,4,3,1 (2) Show the instructions and steps of making a fruit salad. (3) Show the tips of making a fruit salad. Don’t leave it in the air or it will turn brown. Use the fruit in season. Step 3 Practice Deal with Part A3. 1. Before listening. Before listening, you should read and guess. You can guess according to grammar that you have learned. 2. While listening. Listen and write carefully. Steps: First, choose… Then, wash … Next, cut … At last, mix… and add… (3) Can you give me some tips? Tips:in season,make it colorful,prepare it before eating Step 4 Speak up 1. Teach new words. Ask: What do we need to make a sandwich? Then teach the new words: ham, sauce, finished. 2. Listen and choose the best answers. Play the tape for students to tick the answers. Then play it again and check the answers. Answers: 1-4 BCAB 3. Read after the tape and practice the dialogue in pairs. 4. Circle the words that can express the orders and then give the students a summary. Step 5 Language points 1. It’s time for sth. / It’s time to do sth. 到了做某事的时间了。 It’s time for class. 到上课时间了。 It’s time to go to school. 到了去上学的时间了。 2. stop doing sth. 停止做某事 stop to do sth. 停下来去做某事 Stop talking. Let’s play a game. 不要讲话了,让我们做一个游戏吧。 We are tired. Let’s stop to have a rest. 我们累了,让我们停下来休息一下吧。 Step 6 Production 1. Show a picture about my own DIY. 2. Work in groups and introduce your DIY. (1) Work in groups of four. (2) Choose the materials and tools you need. (3) Come up with the steps and tips. (4) Choose one to introduce your DIY and the other members show how to make it. 3. Problems and DIY advice. Tell them: DIY is not easy. You had better follow the instructions. Unable to make things well. You had better buy some books to learn more about it. You had better join a DIY club to learn more about it. Scissors/ knives can be dangerous. You had better not play with them when you do DIY jobs. Sometimes it’ll take time to do a DIY job. You had better be patient. DIY needs creativity, patience, skills, carefulness. Step 7 Lead in Show some pictures and sentences. (1) The boys like playing basketball. They are active in doing sports. Show some words:happy, unhappy; tidy, untidy; possible, impossible; active, inactive. And tell the students that we can add“un-”, “in-”, “im-”before some adjectives to express the opposite (相反的) meaning. 2. Rules. (1) For some of the adjectives, we add “un-” to make it opposite like friendly, happy, comfortable, certain, tidy, able, fair, lucky, usual. (2) If the adjective begins with “p”, we usually add “im-” before it, such as polite, possible, patient, but we should add “un” to pleasant. (3) But some adjectives are special. You should add “in-” before them to make the opposite meaning such as expensive, correct, active, direct. Step 9 Practice 1. Check your memory! Give some adjectives and ask students to choose the correct prefixes to form their opposite meaning. 2. Deal with the exercises on page 51. Read the conversation. Add the correct prefixes to the adjectives so that all the sentences make sense. Give them one or two minutes to finish the exercises. Then check the answes with them. Answers: 1.usual-unusual 2. possible-impossible 3. certain-uncertain 4. tidy-untidy 3. Discussion. How should we behave in class or in school? We should be friendly/kind to others. We should be patient/helpful to the classmates in need. We should not be inactive in sports. We had better not make our classroom untidy. We had better not wear untidy/uncomfortable clothes at school. 4. Fill in the blanks with adjectives with prefixes un-,in-, im- and dis-. Tommy and Leo are twin brothers. They look so much alike that people are ________(able) to tell them at first sight. If one knows them well, it’s easy to tell them apart. Tommy likes smiling. He is patient and willing to help others. However, Leo looks ________(friendly), for he ________(like) smiling and never greets others.
