设计说明 首先通过观看一组有关天气的图片导入新课,然后学习一些有关天气的词汇,进而学习如何谈论天气,然后在此基础上谈论自己最喜爱的季节并给出理由。最后通过当堂达标的题目检测所学内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握词汇:foggy, rainy, snowy, look cool, with nothing on 2.能力目标: (1)学习谈论天气的英文表达; (2)学会谈论喜欢的季节。 3.情感目标: 学习关于天气的词汇及表达方式,培养学生热爱自然和保护自然的意识。 重点难点 重点:学会几种常见的天气的英文表达,并能谈论最喜爱的季节。 难点:灵活使用词汇、短语和重要知识点。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show some pictures about weather and teach some new words. sun It’s sunny. fog It’s foggy. rain It’s rainy. snow It’s snowy. Step 2 Presentation 1. Finish Part A on page 81. (1) Ask students to choose the correct words to fill in the blanks. Then check the answers with the students. (2) Practice a dialogue just like this: A: What’s the weather like? / How is the weather? B: It is... Choose some pairs to practice the dialogue. 2. Talk about seasons. Ask students the following questions: Q: How many seasons are there in a year? What are they? Answer: There are four. They are spring, summer, autumn and winter. Q: How many months are there in each season? What are they? Answer: There are three. Spring: March, April, May Summer: June, July, August Autumn: September, October, November Winter: December, January, February 3. Discuss in four groups. (1) What’s the weather like in spring/summer/autumn/winter? It’s... What can we do in spring/summer /autumn/winter? We can... Ask the students to discuss in four groups, each group represent one season. Then ask them to show the result of their discussion. (2) Show them a table.
(3) Talk about their favourite seasons according to the table above. Step 3 Part B 1. Amy and Simon are talking about their favourite seasons. Listen to their conversation and answer the questions. Questions: (1) Which season does Simon like best? Why? (2) Which season does Amy like best? Why? 2. Listen to the tape and answer the questions. Answers: (1) Autumn. Because it’s always sunny. It’s the best time to play football outside. (2) Summer. Because she can go swimming and enjoy ice cream every day. 3. Make up a dialogue. A: Which season do you like best? B: I like... best. A: Why? B: Because... What about you? A: My favourite season is... Then choose some pairs to present their dialogue. 4. Competition: Have a debate (辩论). Divide the students into four groups. They are Group Spring, Group Summer, Group Autumn, Group Winter. The teacher will see which group is best. The teacher also want to choose a best debater(辩手). Give them 3 minutes to prepare. Topics: I think... is the best season of the year. Answer: I think... is the best season of the year. Because the weather is... in... We can see... in... We can do... Step 4 Production 1. Have a discussion. The world is beautiful because of the four seasons. But do you know what we should do to protect the environment? Ask students to discuss in groups. Give them 2 minutes to prepare. 2. Show time. Choose some students to share their opinions. Then teacher gives them a summary and tells them: (1) We should plant more and more trees in spring. (2) Keep the environment clean and tidy. (3) We should stop burning straw (秸秆). (4) We should walk instead of driving a car. (5) Use air-conditioner (空调) less in summer and winter. (6) When the sky is blue again, the rivers become clean, and the grass is always green, we’ll live a healthier and happier life. Step 5 Comic strip 1. Listen to a conversation between Eddie and Hobo and then answer the questions. (1) What does Eddie want to do? Answer: He asks Hobo to bring him clothes. (2) Does Eddie look cool in the clothes? Answer: No. Hobo thinks he’ll look cool and feel cool with nothing on. 2. Practise and act out the dialogue in pairs. Step 6 Homework 1. Remember the adjectives about different weather. 2.
