让学生结合上节课所学，通过习题回顾上节课所学知识点。另外，通过提出“在聚会上准备什么食品”的问题导入新课，给出相关食品的图片和英文名称，辅助他们做出回答。呈现生词，为后面的学习扫清词汇障碍。通过听课文音频及跟读，让学生熟悉课文内容，了解大意。让学生带着问题听课文，为课文学习做好准备。再次听课文，让学生掌握课文的标准发音并模仿跟读，并四人一组进行对话练习，选取部分小组上台展示。针对讨论内容记录各自的购物清单，让学生将所学应用到实际生活中。接下来，通过让学生找出课文中的疑难问题然后小组讨论解决，合作探究，锻炼学生独立解决问题的能力。深入学习课文内容。然后，通过知识点的讲解，让学生学习英语知识。最后，通过当堂达标题来让学生查漏补缺。

通过本课节的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

掌握本课节新词汇：spring roll, soya milk；

学会运用“What food/drink shall we have?”，Let’s do句型及答语。

Step 1 Revision

1. Get the students to look at the following pictures carefully.

2. Read the following steps of making this dish.

3. Ask the students to match the pictures with the correct sentences.

4. Get the students to fill in the blanks with proper words and rearrange these sentences.

5. Check the answers.

Answers:

4 Fourthly, wash some raisins and put them in a bowl.

3 Thirdly, put the apples on a baking tray.

5 Next, sprinkle with brown sugar.

7 After that, put mixture in the apples.

1 Firstly, wash and peel some apples.

8 Finally, cook them for 20 minutes in a bot oven.

1. Ask the students: What food do you usually have at the party?

2. Let them give their answers.

3. Show the students some pictures to help them.

Step 4 Listen, read and write

Activity 1

1. Play the recording for the first dialogue of “Look, listen and act”on page 78 for the students to listen to. Get the students to think what food the children will have at the party.

2. Play the recording again for them to check the answers.

3. Check the answer together.

Answer: They will have some chicken wings, spring rolls and some nuts.

4. Play the recording for the students again and let them repeat after the recording.

5. Let them practise acting the dialogue in groups of four.

6. Some groups will act in front of the class.

Activity 2

1. Play the recording for the second dialogue for the students to listen to.

2. Ask the students: What drink will the children have at the party?

3. Play the recording again for the students to check the answers.

4. Check the answer together.

Answer: They will have some orange juice and some soya milk.

5. Play the recording for the students again and let them repeat after the recording.

6. Let them practise acting the dialogue in groups of four.

7. Some groups will act in front of the class.

Step 5 Ask, answer and write

1. Get the students to help Kitty write the shopping list.

2. Check the answers.

Answers:

Food: chicken wings, spring rolls, nuts

Drink: orange juice, soya milk

Step 6 Ask and answer

1. In groups of four, discuss the food and drink the students would like to have at their party. Complete the sentences.

2. Write a list of the food and drink their groups will buy for the party.

3. Let them practise acting their dialogues and share their shopping lists in groups.

4. Some groups will act in front of the class.

Step 7 Exploration

1. Let the students find out the phrases, useful expressions and difficult language points and discuss them in groups of four.

2. Explain the difficult language points to the students.

would rather (not) do sth.宁可(不)做某事

would rather 的缩写形式是’d rather。

He’d rather work in the countryside.他宁可在农村工作。

2. Shall we have some crisps？咱们买些炸薯片好吗？

“Shall we+动词原形+其他”我们……好吗？/我们要不要……？

用于征求对方的意见或提出建议,肯定回答常用“Yes, let’s.../OK./Good idea.

/Sure.”等,否定回答常用“Sorry, I’m afraid.../I’d love to, but...”等.

—Shall we go to play basketball? 我们去打篮球好吗?

—Sure, I’d love to.当然可以,我很乐意。

【拓展】提建议的句型还有：

① Let’s do...咱们做……吧。

Let’s go to the zoo tomorrow.明天咱们去动物园吧。

② What/How about...?……怎么样?

about后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。

What/How about going shopping with me?和我一起去购物怎么样?
