三、难点句型解析。

1.—How tall are you? 你有多高?

—I’m 1.65 metres. 我身高1. 65米。

【解析】句型“How tall + be动词+主语?”用于询问某人的身高或某物的高度。其中be动词随着主语人称的变化而变化。其答句为：主语 + be动词 + 数字 + 长度单位 (+ tall)。

例句：—How tall is Yao Ming? 姚明有多高？

   —He is 2.26 meters (tall). 他(身高)2.26米。

2. Who is taller, Zhang Peng or the small dinosaur?  

张鹏和小恐龙谁更高？

【解析】Who引导的表示比较的选择疑问句: 选择疑问句提出两种(或两种以上)情况，要求对方选择其一，备选项用or来连接。

who意为“谁”，它引导的表示比较的选择疑问句用来询问“谁更……?”。

其问句句型为：Who is +形容词比较级，... or ...? 答句句型为: 主语+ be动词+形

容词的比较级(+than+名词或代词).

在朗读选择疑问句时，or前一部分用升调，后一部分用降调。

例句：—Who is taller, you or your brother?

    你和你哥哥谁更高？

  —My brother is taller.  我哥哥更高。

3.比较级的变化，一般词尾加er。

加的方法有四种，我们一起学习它。

一般情况直接加：smaller, stronger属于它；

结尾有e去e加：nicer, later属于它；

辅y结尾改i加： heavier, easier属于它；

 一辅重读闭音节，末尾字母要双写：bigger, thinner属于它。

拓展:形容词比较级的读音

(1) 形容词在变为比较级之后，通常增读/ə(r)/。

 例如：lower /ləʊə(r)/

(2) 如果原级中的尾音是辅音音素，那么这个辅音音素   就要与/ə(r)/相拼。

例如：older /əʊldə(r)/

(3)有些辅音字母在形容词原级中没有单独发音，但在比较级中却有了自己的发音。

例如：young /jʌŋ/ — younger /jʌŋɡə(r)/
