【辨析】spend, take, cost, pay

四个词都有花费的意思，但是在主语上有所不同

（1）spend作主语的是人，如：

I spent $30 buying the bike.= I spent $30 on the bike. 我花了30美元买了那辆自行车。

（2）take作主语的常是代词it， 构成句型：it takes sb. some time/money to do sth.

如：It takes me one hour to do homework.

（3）cost作主语的是事物。常指花费金钱。如：The pen cost me 5 yuan.

（4）pay 作主语的是人，一般与介词for 连用。如：I have to pay for your lunch.

I live in a noisy neighborhood. My house is between a library and a post office. There is a bank across from my house. My favorite place is the Children’s Palace because I can play sports and learn English there. To get there, I have to go along the Center Street, then turn left at the first crossing, then walk along North Street. The Children’s Palace is just on the right.
