At that time thusands f French peple were hiding in the frests and muntains t resist the Germans. They were in need f fd and weapns, which had t be drpped t them frm planes cming frm England. In this way, Marie carried ut her task . Then ne mrning Marie met the wner f the vice, a yung French sldier. He sat near her and said, “ Thank yu, Marie, fr what yu have dne fr the cuntry. Tnight is very imprtant. Things f great value will be drpped here and the light must be shwn at 3 ’clck in the mrning. Can yu keep awake till then? ” “ I wn’t fail.” Marie ndded. Night fell.
