(一)知识目标
1.能听懂、会说并认读单词:were, pupil, ag, but, active, smart, naughty
2.能用句子“Were they active in class?”询问他人的情况,并作出正确的回答。

能用本课所学知识询问他人过去的情况,并做出相应回答。
(三)情感目标
通过游戏,儿歌等形式,培养学生热爱英语的情感,教育学生要团结友爱,和新同学友好相处。
教学重点
重点:1.会听、说、读以下单词:were, pupil, ag, but, active, smart, naughty,并书写but。
2.能熟练运用本课句型“Were they …Yes, they were. They were … ten years ag.”进行交流。

难点:1.单词的认读与书写。
2. “were”在实际语境中的灵活运用。

Step 1 Warming-up
1.Greetings. Hell, bys and girls. Welcme back t schl.
2.Free talk.
大屏幕出示林丹小时候的照片:Lk, this is Lin Dan. He was six then.
He was shrt. Nw he’s tall.
学生介绍自己儿时的照片,回顾上节课所学内容。
【设计意图:以学生熟悉的人物,复习上节课主要句型,学生感兴趣。】
Step 2 Presentatin
1.出示姚明,易建联幼时和现在的照片
T: Wh are they?
S: They are….
T: Were they shrt ten years ag?
Ss: Yes, they were. But they are tall nw.(引导学生回答并教师板书新知。)
引出新单词:were, but, ag,并操练。
操练形式:小火车,同桌俩,男女生,高低音等。操练单词时可以结合句子,Were they yung? But they are ld nw. They were shrt ten years ag.
学生结合句子操练单词,可以用汉语回答大意。
2.用图片教学单词 pupil, active, smart, naughty
T: They were pupils, Were they active?
S: ….
T: Is she smart/naughty?
T&Ss: Practice: pupil, active, smart, naughty
结合句子操练单词,便于学生理解记忆。
【设计意图:学习并操练重点单词,为下一步进入课文Let’s read.做准备。】
Step 3 Practice
.Listen and say.
T: Jenny and Danny visit Mr. Wang, What are they talking abut?
First listen, then answer the questins
1.Wh is back at schl?
2.Were the bys active in class?
3.What d Mr Wang’s pupil say?
让学生带着问题听对话,听完后同桌讨论答案。
They are talking abut Mr Wang’s pupils.

Ss…
学生回答问题,老师归纳总结并板书主要句型,同桌俩操练这些句子。

1.再次听录音,跟读课文。Listen t the tape and mime it. Practice in pairs. Check up.
2.同学们分组练习读课文,并到台前展示。
设计意图:多种方式操练巩固Let’s read.中的重点句型,各个击破本节课教学重难点。

1)出示课本图片,师生问答。
2)同学们分组练习,并到台前展示。

2. Let’s write.
先说一说,再让学生根据内容选择单词,并抄写。(强调学生注意手写体),教师板书。
