Researchers at Baylr University were curius abut whether there was a way t imprve student perfrmance . In particular, they wndered whether a technique called “targeted memry reactivatin(激活,重启)” (TMR) culd be useful fr studying. In TMR, certain signals reactivate memries frmed during the day while a persn is asleep. The researchers fcused n music.
A few university students tk part in the experiment. They were asked t take a class n micrecnmics(微观经济学), which they wuld be tested n the fllwing day. During the lessn, all participants listened t three pieces f classical music. Then they spent the night in the sleep lab and while they were fast asleep, sunds were played in the backgrund.
