I prefer t call myself a female ftballer, r just a player. I am nw twenty-five years ld and have been playing since I was seven.
S hw did it all start? Well, as a child I was tld that “sccer" wasn't a real sprt. Back then “sccer" wasn't ppular. Als, as a child I was tld that girls culdn't be prfessinal athletes; and at the time they were right fr the mst part because back then there were n prfessinally-paying team sprts fr wmen-least f all “sccer" teams. Hwever,I tld them that smeday it wuld becme mre ppular and wmen wuld be able t play well. And in the end I was right because ftball has becme ne f the fastest-grwing sprts in America.
Ftball is especially ppular with girls. It may nt be very cmmnplace t see girls, r wmen, playing in Eurpe, but in the US yu will see the fields filled with girls' teams cmpeting. Certainly, as girls get lder, the number f participants decreases, but there're a select few wh have a passin and craving fr the game.
S what are the majr differences between men's and wmen's ftball? I'd saythat the big difference is that men play t prve that they are the best. Wmen, n the ther hand, play t prve smething t themselves, and are always pen t new ideas. When it cmes t the game f man versus wman n the pitch, the man is always ging t underestimale(低估)the wman. Wmen take advantage f this and attack hard, play hard, and are usually the first t scre. I have experienced this many times. Men think they are better just because they are men, but in the end technical ability and intelligence win. By dingthis, I have made quite a few guys eat their wrds. I lve prving them wrng, and at the same time I get a bit mre respect fr wmen ftballers.

A. She was t yung.
B.She culd make mney.
C. She culd nt make it.
D. She wuld be ppular.
25. Why des the authr mentin wmen playing ftball in Eurpe?
A. T indicate wmen's ftball is ppular in America.
B. T prve wmen can als play ftball very well in Eurpe.
C. T suggest wmen's ftball is quite cmpetitive in Eurpe.
D. T shw there are mre fields fr ftball players in America.
26. What des the underlined wrd “craving" in paragraph 3 mean?
A.Hesitatin.
C.Desire.
B. Gratefulness.
D.Patience.
27. What des the authr think f men ftballers versus wmen ftballers?
A.Men ftballers always try t be the best.
B.Wmen are usually pen t men's new ideas.
C. Men win by technical ability and intelligence.
