Cultural awareness know the different format between Chinese diary and English diary. 5. Learning strategies: 1) think actively and feel free to ask questions. 2) cooperate with group members.

(Robin introduces himself.) T: What’s my robot’s name? Do you like it? 3.Tasks (Task 1 Silent reading) T: In your hand, there are four information cards about Robin. Let’s do silent reading. Please read quietly. After reading, please answer the questions. Q1: Who made him? Q2: What can he do? (Task 2 Fast reading) Tick or cross. T: Who can ask more questions about Robin? T: Good question! What’s Robin like? Please do fast reading in one minute and work with your group members to fill this “Tick or cross” form.

T: So far, we get a lot of information about Robin. But the passage is messed up. Please read again and order the paragraphs with your group members and tell me why you think so. You have five minutes to do it.
4.Listen and read T: Look! This is the whole passage. And there is something special. Please listen and find it out. T: Look, there is date and day on the right side above the passage. Why do we write them here? (Because it is a diary.)
5.Memory check Review the information about Robin with the mind map. T: What have you learned about Robin? 6.Writing T: Look at the mind map, It shows you how to write about a person. Step1… Step2… (T shows some model essays and let students write about a person.) 7.Homework Share Enjoy Evaluate (Excellent Great Good )
