掌握与国家有关的词汇Canada Australia 和短语 new friend old friend,熟练运用句型Where are you from? I’m from China/Canada/Australia etc.

能够熟练运用以下句型:How nice to see you! Nice to see you, too. Where are you from? I’m from China/Canada/Australia etc.

2学情分析
在上一课询问时间基础上学习日常交际用语Where are you from?衔接得当。本课重点是如何让学生在合适的情景中使用此句型。能用提供的地名进行替换,练习询问他人从哪里来并进行回答。教师通过地名展示我国大好河山和各国风土人情,同时增进同学感情,激发学生学习兴趣。

1.能够熟练运用以下句型: Where are you from? I’m from China/Canada/Australia etc.
2.培养学生友好相处、礼貌待人的良好品质。
4 教学活动
活动1【讲授】Where are you from
Note: Pay attention to the culture of its country.
Step 1 Revision
1. The class begins with the song Nice to See You again.
2. Revise what’s your name? My name’s… How old are you? I’m… etc.
3. Look at the cartoon figures on multimedia and ask where they from are? Get the students to point to the right place. Then they repeat the names after you.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Show a card with the flag of a country: e.g. Australia. Say kangaroo come from Australia. Repeat with the other card with different country flag on them. Get the students to repeat after you.
T: What’s this?
Ps: It’s a flag.
T: Yes. It belongs to Australia.
2. Teach the students with cards when I speak English while they speak Chinese. Then get them draw two pictures of flag of Canada and Australia.
3. Use gesture to learn two phrases new friend and old friend. Let students to shake hands and embrace with each other. Read the two phrases after you.
Step 3 Work in pairs.
1. Make a dialogue with a student, review what we have learned before and put forward the new expression.
T: Hi, what’s your name?
Ps: My name’s Tina.
T: Tina, where are you from?
Ps: I’m from China.
T: Nice to meet you.
Ps: Nice to meet you, too.
2. Get students make new dialogues with two cards.
S1: Where are you from?
S2: I’m from Canada.
S3: Where are you from?
S4: I’m from Australia.
3. Practice with their partner (use Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing P4).T try to summarize be from =come from.
Step 4 Listen, tick and say.
T: Boys and girls, please turn to P5, listen to the tape carefully and tick the right answer.
Ps: Ok.

Homework
Copy the new words and phrases.
Learn the dialogue in textbook by heart.
