1.look forward to 意为“盼望；期待”，后接名词或动名词，即look forward to （doing） sth.意为“盼望（做）某事；期待（做）某事”。

例句：We are all looking forward to our holiday.我们都盼望着假期。

I'm looking forward to seeing you this summer vacation.我盼望今年暑假见到你。

2.hear from sb.意为“收到某人的来信”，相当于receive a letter from sb.。其反义短语为write (a letter) to sb.意为“给某人写信”。

例句：I heard from my mother last week. = I received a letter from my mother last week.上周我收到了我母亲的来信。
