教学过程 | 1.Warm-up Activity 1) Teacher plays a song and students are asked to remember the actions mentioned in the song as many as they can. 2) Teacher practices sentence “Can you…?” and its responses with students.
2.Look, Listen and Say 1) Teacher plays a video. After that, teacher asks students “What can dogs do?”. Students are encouraged to say whatever in their minds or whatever they see in the video. 2) Students look the pictures shown and describe with sentences “The dog helped…..”
3.Listen and Read 1) Before playing the video, teacher gives students some pictures and guides students to answer the questions on the slides. 2) Then, teacher plays the videos. Students say sentences with the video. 3) Teacher corrects pronunciations if necessary. 4) Teacher instructs students to do roleplay in groups.
4.Look and Write, then Say 1) Teacher instructs students to look at pictures and write sentences accordingly, following the model “can/ can’t, …..help…..” 2) This can be done in the form of small competitions.
5.Listen and Repeat 1) Teacher follows the slides and teaches letter sound c, k, g, f, ff,v. 2) After that, students practice each sound in words.
6.Listen and say, then Sing 1) Teacher guides students to sing the song together. 2) Teacher explains the meaning of the lyrics if there are unfamiliar words.
7.Ask and Answer, then Say 1) Students are divided into different groups and do this activity in groups. 2) The group who makes the least mistakes will win. 3) After that, teacher will distributes a sheet in which few animals and abilities are listed. Each group is required to describe at least one animals with modal verbs “can/ can’t”. |

教学反思 | When practicing letter sounds, teacher is suggested to do it with a song that is more engaging. It can grab enough attention from students. |
