On my way ut frm my strerm,I nticed a spider building her web acrss the tp crner f the drway.I reached fr a he(锄头),tre dwn the web,and watched the giant spider run away in the grass.She was back the very next mrning,in the exact same spt,busily rebuilding.I stared fr a mment,and then reached fr the he again.Then I twisted the he rund and rund,catching the spider in her wn web.I carried her far int my backyard,shk the he and watched her fall t the grund and disappear in the bush.The third mrning,I stpped shrt as I entered the strerm.The spider was back in the same crner,her web almst cmpleted again.I reached fr the he,but stpped.I thught her persistence(坚持)in building her web shuld pay ff.I stepped back and watched her lng legs busily knitting the web.
Fr the next few weeks,the spider and I were clse neighbrs.One particularly bring day,I was feeling s dwn that I didn't even glance up at my spider as I entered.Suddenly I fund a hundred tiny angels n the flr.I realized that these were baby spiders and the web the mther had built was t prtect her yung.
