According to the data, many wild animals and plants have extincted during the long history of the earth. For example, the dinosaurs, whose futures seemed secure at that time and which lived on the earth long before humans came into being, died out suddenly about 65 million years ago because it came after an unexpected incident when a huge rock from space hit the earth and put too much dust into the air.
If their habitat is threatened or there is loss of food and too much hunting, they are in danger of disappearance and their numbers may decrease. On the contrary, some animals can protect themselves in the fierce environment. For example, a monkey will rub a millipede insect over its body to protect itself from mosquitoes’ bite because the insect contains a powerful drug which affect mosquitoes.
Every year WWF, World Wildlife Fund, employs some experts to inspect nature reserves or national natural protection zones and help the governments pay attention to the importance of protecting the endangered species. Most of governments respond positively and take many measures to protect them. Some governments allow tourists to hunt only a certain number of rhinos for fur to make carpets in the distant land if they are willing to pay the local farmers in the county to increase their income.
We faithfully hope some day there will be no harm in nature so that we will appreciate it that we can succeed in living with wildlife in peace and mercy in the ending and burst into laughter in relief.

Have you ever wondered why some dinosaurs were so huge in size while plant-eating dinosaurs' heads were so small? Or how did dinosaurs die out from the globe? A team of scientists from Germany may have found 1 answer-plant-eating dinosaurs didn't chew their food!
As you 2 (probable) know, large animals spend large amounts of time eating. It's partially 3 they need a lot of food. The other reason is that it takes the animal a long time 4 (chew) food. But it seems that plant-eating dinosaurs did not spend any time 5 (bite). Instead, they swallowed huge amounts of food, and then let it all digest(消化)in their huge 6 (stomach).
Also, animals that chew a lot need to have large teeth and mouth muscles, 7 need to fit somewhere-that is why elephants 8 (have) huge heads. However, plant-eating dinosaurs have small, light heads in that era(时代).
The lighter head allowed a 9 (long) neck, which in turn helped with their intake. Unlike other animals, they did not have to go around the forest looking 10 food. Instead, they simply stood in one place and swallowed and swallowed!
故填the。
根据语境可知,“large animals spend large amounts of time eating”和空后“they need a lot of food”是因果关系,因 此需用从属连词because。故填 because。
It takes+时间+to do... 故填to chew。
故填which。
故填 have。
故填for。
