教学难点：本课难点为能读懂以一般过去时为主要语法项目的文章并描述自己的生活经历，拟通过对话操练和相关习题训练来突破。

Step 1: Leading in

Teacher asks two questions:

Did you read Romeo and Juliet?

Did you read Hamlet?

They’re very famous . Did you want to know something about them? Who write them?

Step 2: Learn the new words

1. Let students try to read these words.

play , poem, marry, successful, work, build, on, fire, die, rich, language .

2. Read these words together and remember them.

3. check these words.

Step 3 : Learn the new text

1. listen to the tap and read silent.
2. Read the text quickly and complete Part 2 and part 3.
3. Read the text carefully and fill in the blanks.

4. Retell the passage and complete part 5 , check the answer and read the passage.

5. Read the text loudly.

6. Find out the key phrases and make sentences .

Step 4. Consolidation : Group work

1. Find out all the sentences including the past simple tense.

2. Perform the passage.

Step 5. Writing

Ask the students to go over the key words, phrases and sentences.

1. Learn the key words and phrases by heart.

2. Read aloud the passage correctly and fluently by yourself.

3. Talk about your opinion about life in the past.

此环节为热身环节，通过背景知识导入，使学生想要去更多地了解莎士比亚，调节课堂氛围。也可以通过事先安排，让学生展示相关的背景知识，提高自主学习的能力，为下面学习课文做理解上的铺衬。

通过填空、选择和回答不同阅读任务培养学生精读提取信息的能力，学生要能在阅读中理解文章的细节内容。提高学生的阅读能力。

通过小组合作找出课文中出现的词组，加强对基础知识的学习与巩固。造句是对这些短语的一种运用，引发学生思考，培养他们主动学习的意识。

表演课文是对文章的升华，锻炼了学生的综合语言运用能力。多说多练英语，越学越会，自然就提高了学生学习英语的兴趣。

语言的输入是为了有效的输出。通过本单元的学习，旨在检测学生是否可以用目标语言能够清楚地表达自己的生活经历。

1. He wrote about thirty—eight plays, 154 short poems and a few long poems in his life.

2. Shakespear went to London and joined a theatre company in about 1592.

3. William Shakespeare died at the age of fifty two.

4. You can still see his plays in English and in many other languages.

5. He’s famous around the world.

教后反思

本节课学生已经完成学习目标，学会了一般过去时的用法。学生在学习过程中，我采用了“小组合作、兵教兵”的学习方法。学生每四人一组，设定一个组长。由组长带领本组交流、讨论并互助学习，保证每个学生都能积极主动参与学习，发展自己学习英语的潜能，同时培养学生的团队意识, 力求使学生在积极、愉快的课堂氛围中提高自己的语言运用能力, 从而达到预期的教学效果.
