A.规则变化
①单音节词加词尾-er，-est来构成比较级和最高级。tall—taller-tallest
②以不发音的e结尾的单音节词只加-r,-st nice-nicer-nicest
③以一个辅音字母结尾的闭音节单音节词，双写结尾的辅音字母，再加-er，-est
big-bigger-biggest
④"以辅音字母+y"结尾的双音节词，改y为i，再加 -er，-est easy-easier-easiest
⑤其他部分双音节词和多音节词在前面加mre，mst来构成比较级和最高级。

B.不规则变化
gd / well→better→best bad / ill/badly→wrse→wrst
many / much→mre→mst little→less→least
far→farther→farthest(表示距离) far→further→furthest (表示程度)
ld→lder→ldest (表示新旧或年龄) ld-elder-eldest (表示兄弟姐妹之间的长幼关系)
注意:1.副词的比较级和最高级的构成规则和形容词比较级和最高级的构成规则一样，所不同的是：
形容词最高级前面必须用the，而副词的最高级前面的the 可带可不带。
2.一些词本身没有比较级和最高级形式，如：right, wrng, full, empty, dead等。
二、中考考点
A.形容词原级句型
①as形容词/副词原形+as 像…一样 Tim is as tall as Tm.
nt as(s)+形容词/副词原形+as “和… 不一样” Tim isn’t as/s tall as Tm.
②… t+形容词原形+ t d sth. 太...而不能… He is t yung t g t schl.
③形容词原级+ enugh t d sth. 足够…可以…. He is ld enugh t g t schl.
B.形容词比较级句型
①A+be+比较级 + than +B. This bx is bigger than that ne.
②在两者之间选择“哪一个更……”时，用句型“Which / Wh is +比较级, ... r ”。
如：Which sweater is cheaper, the red ne r the yellw ne?
③比较级与f the tw/f the twins连用时，比较级前加the Lucy is the taller f the tw.
④ “the + 比较级，the + 比较级” “越……，越……”
如：The mre yu eat, the fatter yu will becme.
⑤ 比较级 + and + 比较级 “越来越……”
多音节词和部分双音节词用“mre and mre + 形容词原级”。

⑥形容词比较级前可以用下列词修饰：much, a little, far, a bit, a lt, even, far等。
如：It's much clder tday than yesterday.
C.形容词最高级的用法
1. 三者或三者以上的人或物进行比较时，用形容词最高级形式。形容词最高级前通常需加定冠词the，句末常接in / f短语来表示范围。He is the strngest f all the bys.
2. 表示“最……之一”时，用“ne f + the + 最高级”。
（这个结构作主语，谓语动词用单数）
如：Lu Xun was ne f the greatest writers last century.
