    一、教材分析

    本节课是冀教版八年级上册 Unit 8 中Lesson 44 Environment Clubs内容。本单元围绕保护环境这一话题展开教学。通过学习了解垃圾分类环保活动和环保俱乐部的情况。学生学习有关环保的生词、短语和日常用语,学习代词it的用法。学会讨论起因结果和目的,培养学生的创新能力,争取全面发展。学会介绍如何采取一些措施进行环境保护,进一步了解环保的重要性,增强环保意识,做环保小卫士。本课时的教学内容是第八单元的第二课时,主要涉及介绍北美学校环保俱乐部的活动及重要性,号召学生采取行动减少污染。

    二、教学目标

    1. 语言知识和能力

    A.学生能够听、说、读、写掌握单词: least, pollute, waste, shut

    了解单词短语: throw away, shut down, turn off, encourage sb. to do sth., reduce, reusable, skip, packaging, leaky, sink, electricity

    B.能理解重要的句子:

    1) How much garbage do you throw away after lunch?

    2) The class with the least garbage gets a prize.         

    3) Did you know that a leaky toilet can waste 20 to 40 litres of water an hour?

    4) Turn off the television and shut down the computer when you are not using them.

    5)Its a good way to reduce packaging.

    D. 能运用predicting, skimming, scanning等阅读技巧获取文章信息。

    E.学生能够用所学句子谈论如身体力行保护环境,减少污染. 能用英语设计有关环境保护的海报。

    1. Check the dubbing and reading homework on Ekwing. Share some students homework.

    2. Play two short videos in which some students behave bad like throwing garbage around or wasting water/ electricity.

    Ask the following questions:

    1) Whats the video about?

    2) What do you do when you see someone throw garbage on the ground or waste electricity?

    3. Show pictures and get the students to talk more about the environment problems around us.

     

    1.Listen to some students dubbing homework and

    give comments.

    3. Talk about the environment problems around us.

    Step2:

    Reading

    1. Predicting

    Let  the students  read the topic and the pictures and they try to  ask questions about environment clubs.

    1) Who join environment clubs?

    2) Why do they join  environment clubs?

    3) What are their activities?

    2,  Scanning

    Ask the students to read the whole passage  and find out the answers for above three questions.

    3. Detail reading

     Let the students  to read  the whole passage  and answer questions.

    1) What does No-garbage lunches mean?

    2) Who can come to school in a car on No-car days ?

    3) Do you take your own bags when you  go shopping? Why?

    4) How much water does a leaky toilet waste in an hour?

    5) How can we  save electricity?

    1. Try to ask questions about environment clubs according to  the topic and pictures.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    2. Scan the whole passage and find the answers.

     

     

     

    3. Students  read  the whole passage  and answer questions. They can discuss with their group members.

     2. To get information about  environment clubs in North America and learn reading strategy like

    Tip1: Some marks and  the first sentence of the paragraph can help you get the idea quickly.

    Step3 Listening and reading

    Give the listening and reading task on Ekwing. Check the result and correct the mistake.

    Discussion

     

    Let the students work in groups of six talk about what they can do to stop pollution . And play another video in which the same students in the last video improve their behavior well and call on more people to stop pollution.

    Ask the students to make  posters about littering and recycling to call on more people to stop

    1. Ask the students to summarize what they have learned in this class.

    2.  Homework:

    1). Finish exercises on Ekwing.

    2). Write a letter to  school headmaster, giving advice on how to reduce pollution and protect environment in our school.

    六、教学反思与回顾

    本节课是一师一优课晒课录课时准备的,因为人教版能录制的课结点太少, 所以我选择了冀教版八下的内容。本单元是环保话题,大家比较感兴趣,也很重要,所以选了八单元的Lesson44.

    本节课上我们初次使用翼课网这样的网络教学平台在课堂上授课,效果较好。首先预习环节,我们利用翼课网提前推送了关于环保的阅读文章,为上课做好铺垫,也缩小了不同版本的教材的差距。其次,检查作业环节,学生可以分享前一天的配音和听读作业,及时发现并纠正大家普遍发音错误。在跟读环节学生能听到准确的领读并努力模仿。

    本节课的教学目标达成较好。特别是学生通过多种方式学习了新词。例如构词法,根据上下文猜词,图片,动作等,并通过练习巩固。能运用predicting, skimming, scanning,taking notes,predicting,using marks等阅读技巧获取文章信息. 学生们能通过各种活动例阅读,讨论,观看视频(第一段的不文明行为和后一段的环保行为视频形成对比),制作海报将制作好的海报张贴在黑板上展示等了解自己所在学校,城市,国家的环境污染情况,能身体力行参与环保活动,提高环境保护意识。

    不足之处是时间安排有点前紧后松。
