I arrived in Liberia with MSF almst three mnths ag. When I saw the tragic scenes n the news, I felt it was my duty as a dctr t ffer my help, s I put aside my jb and set ff t g there. Ebla desn’t respect natinal bundaries, s there are n brders fr dctrs, fr patients r fr anyne else invlved in fighting this terrible disease.
My missin was t take the place f Emma, a Canadian specialist, wh intrduced me t the ther staff: Wiltn, a lcal nurse; Maisy, a retired public health fficial frm Australia; Alfns, an Argentinian dctr, wh had previusly wrked n Ebla utbreaks in Sierra Lene and Guinea.
