The new inventin is a srt f electrnic nse, which can detect extremely lw levels f many cmpunds(化合物) frm peple's skin. This isn't the first time engineers have develped such an bject. Earlier mdels, hwever, have been bulky and expensive. They culd nt detect lw levels f target cmpunds either. The new ne is inexpensive and small enugh t fit inside hand-held equipment.

Pratsinis, Prfessr f Prcess Engineering and Materials Science at the Swiss Federal Institute f Technlgy in Zurich. His team tested it in special spaces.
