1. Whatever yu’re ding when yu want t smke – d smething else! 翻译: Whatever 此处引导让步状语从句, 还可引导名词性从句。
无论你在做什么,只要你想吸烟—那就做些别的。
Whatever happens, yu mustn’t lse heart.= N matter what happens, yu mustn’t lse heart.无论发生什么事情, 你都不要丧失信心。
Exercise:It’s generally cnsidered unwise t give a child ________ (whatever\ n matter what) he r she wants.
在引导让步状语从句时:whatever (wherever, whenever, hwever, whichever, whmever, whever)= n matter + what (where, when, hw, which, whm, wh)
Whatever, whichever, whever, whmever还可以引导名词性从句,此时不能转化为n matter what (which, wh, whm)。
2. Set a date when yu’re ging t stp. 当你要戒烟时,制定一个时限。 when在此处引导定语从句 set a date 确定日期 e.g. – Shall we set a date fr the meeting? – Hw abut this Friday? —我们要为这次会议确定日期吗? —这周五怎么样啊?

5. Breath in slwly and deeply, then breath ut. 慢慢地,深深地吸一口气,然后呼出。 breathe ut 呼气 breathe in __________
e.g. When the dctr listened t my chest, he made me breathe in and then breathe ut slwly. 医生听我胸部时, 让我吸气, 然后又慢慢呼气。
