Many peple have this cmmn assumptin that creativity is an inbrn talent; nly a special grup f peple are brn creative, and everyne else just unfrtunately desn't have that special ability. But, this is far frm the truth! At the end f the day, creativity is a skill. It's nt sme natural brn talent that sme have ver thers. What this means is that creativity is a skill that can be practiced and imprved upn systematically by applying yur strngest learning styles.
Let me break anther miscnceptin abut creativity, which is that it's nly used t create cmpletely "new" r "riginal" things. Again, this is far frm the truth. Because everything, including wrks f art, desn't cme frm nthing. Everything riginates frm sme srt f inspiratin which is prvided by smething that already exists. This means that creativity gives birth t new meaning r value by cnnecting things tgether.
Frm this angle, yu can see a lt f creativity in actin. In technlgy, Apple cmbines traditinal cmputers with design and aesthetics t create new ways t use digital prducts. In music, a musician may be inspired by varius styles f music, instruments and rhythms t create an entirely new type f sng. These are abut cnnecting different ideas, finding cmmn grund amng the differences, and creating new ideas ut f them.
The fact is that everyne is brn with a creative ability. Creativity, at its heart, is being able t see things in a way that thers can't. It's a skill that helps yu find new angles t create new pssibilities and slutins t different prblems. S, if yu encunter different challenges and prblems that need slving n a regular basis, then creativity is an invaluable skill t have.
4. What can we infer frm the first paragraph?

If yu have sme free time t scialize, d yu prefer t spend it with yur best friend r partner, r with a larger grup f peple?
A new study investigated what grup size peple actually lk fr and encunter in everyday life. The scientists asked mre than 4.000 peple frm the U. S. and the Netherlands t reprt the size f their scial grups fr a wide variety f activities. Fr eight different activities(ging t a bar, chatting at wrk, chatting ff wrk, having dinner, ging n a hliday, ging t a mvie theatre, wrking n a prject, playing sprts), peple reprted a grup size f tw mre ften than they reprted larger grup sizes. Interestingly, fr abut half f these activities, wmen reprted a grup size f tw significantly mre ften than men did, suggesting that wmen prefer a scial grup size f tw even mre than men d.
The researchers als used a research technique called real-time experience-sampling in the secnd part f the study. 274 vlunteers were asked seven times a day t reprt the last scial situatin they had experienced. The results were clear. Tw was the mst cmmn grup size with 52.6 percent. Thus, this part f the study als suggested that tw is the mst cmmn grup size in scial interactins.
S why d peple prefer spending their time with ne ther persn cmpared t spending their time with larger grups? Researchers explained that in general, scial interactins with just ne ther persn allw fr mre cntrl f the situatin, especially when it cmes t reciprcity(互助). When we interact with just ne ther persn, ne's chices directly affect the ther persn and nly that persn. Thus, it is easy t distinguish whether there is mutual cperatin(fr example, bth peple take turns paying fr dinner) r whether smene acts selfishly(fr example, ne persn never pays the bill). In larger grups, the situatin gets much mre cmplicated.
8. What is the new study mainly abut?
A. What scial grup size peple prefer. B. Whm peple like t spend time with.
C. Which activities peple chse t kill time. D. Hw peple make friends in scial activities.
9. Why did researchers ask the vlunteers seven times a day?
A. T cllect the latest data. B. T make their activities last lnger.
C. T knw the variety f their activities. D. T prve the result f the frmer study.
10. What drives many peple t interact with nly ne ther persn?
A. The clser relatinship. B. The limited chices.
C. The sense f cntrl. D. The selfish intentin.

The scks are machine washable and dn't need t be charged. Every six mnths, the user gets a new bx with seven pairs f scks t replace the used nes. Fr custmers, the cst is $ 30 per mnth.
